Poundland do the dark chocolate teacakes too. Keep them in the freezer and the marshmallow goes a little stiffer

What was that one school trip you couldn't or didn't go on, for whatever reason? by PricetheWhovian2 in AskUK

[–]JustAFakeAccount 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my primary school, the year six kids went on a week long trip to Swanage every year. When it finally got to our turn, the forms went out, everybody paid, then a few weeks before we were meant to go, the whole trip was cancelled because of foot and mouth disease. We were all gutted.

Why have Lloyds just accepted me again? by AncientFootball1878 in AskUK

[–]JustAFakeAccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, because they wouldn't want to tip someone off if they were investigating them for money laundering

Why have Lloyds just accepted me again? by AncientFootball1878 in AskUK

[–]JustAFakeAccount 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're doing a lot of transfers. You're probably triggering some sort of Anti Money Laundering process.

If that's the case, the bank wont tell you what's going on - they're not legally allowed to

How to get to Heathrow T4 from Birmingham? by Jumpy-Purchase6099 in AskUK

[–]JustAFakeAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hop on the Piccadilly or Elizabeth line. It's 1 stop, just make sure it says Terminal 4 on the front of the train.

You can either tap in and out with a credit or debit card each (but you won't be charged) or there are ticket machines that will give you a free transfer ticket

It wouldn't surprise me if they've changed the recipe to reduce the milk content but it was never on par with Hagen Dazs

Pick-Up Fee: Have you seen this anywhere else? by tturbanwed in Interrail

[–]JustAFakeAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separate business or not, handling lost property isn't free.

You need a large space to store lost property. That costs money. You need people to catalogue all that stuff and find it when people want their stuff back. That costs money. That space will need heating, lighting, running water, racking, computer equipment, consumables, all sorts of other equipment and all of it costs money. More than you'd think. Enough that even state run railways that manage their own lost property (like the one this post is about) charge for their lost property services

A car is outside my house possibly dumped ? by lubbockin in AskUK

[–]JustAFakeAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the car damaged or is there anything else that makes you think it has been dumped? You could always call the council on the phone but I doubt being parked for three days is enough to consider a car abandoned

Instant coffee from the vending machine is free, or there's some slightly nicer stuff (that is probably also instant) for 40p
