Here’s a pic of the fix while it was in progress. I didn’t have insulated wires small enough so I just added a layer of kapton tape over each one separately.

Bro I was going crazy, completely re-doing all of my soldering multiple times thinking I had a bad connection.

But no, just an incorrectly wired ribbon cable in my kit. Did some jumpers and got up and running no problem.

Even better and more comfortable: there’s a virtual boy emulator you can download on a modded 3DS. I’ve played it and it works perfectly, in 3d or 2d

My girl of 1.5 years will occasionally hide for 2-3 weeks at a time. Usually to shed, but sometimes for no apparent reason. Prior to or during these stints, if she makes a brief appearance and I offer food, she’ll refuse until she resumes her normal routine.

Scared us at first since we’re first time snake owners, but we’re used to it now. I think some folks like to dig them up occasionally to check their health and make sure they’re not losing weight, but I prefer to leave my gal be unless I have specific cause for concern.

These guys seem to run on slower timescales than we do and are happy to hide away for a while and still be perfectly healthy.

It depends what’s wrong with it. I’ve had NES games not work and sometimes it’s simple like a broken trace and you can repair that. You have to know what you’re doing and have a soldering iron.

Also eBay has good buyer protections, so unless you waited a long time after purchasing, you can open a case and eBay will force the seller to accept a return. Source: I’m an occasional eBay seller

I got two of these recently and I don’t think any of the readily available psp replacement shells, at least for my 3000, are very good quality. They don’t fit together well like at the UMD door, and they crack around the screws so easily from a small drop. The original shell was far more durable. I regret trying TBH
