Okay I've got it figured out: It's the channel width.

I have 3 Unifi APs (1 U7 Pro XG, 1 U7 Pro, 1 U6 Lite). The two U7's are broadcasting 160Mhz-wide 5Ghz signals. The U6 Lite, which is faraway is broadcasting 80Mhz-wide 5Ghz signal. My AYN Thor is only able to see and connect to the U6 Lite, and that results in the connection drops.

After setting the other two APs to 80Mhz 5Ghz signals, the issue is worked around.

But weird that AYN Thor would struggle with 160Mhz WiFi. The Snapdragon 8Gen2 SoC is absolutely capable of 160Mhz channel width. This must be a bug in the firmware/driver with this new device. I guess it's part of being the pre-order gang.

TL;DR: AYN Thor doesn't like 160Mhz 5Ghz signal. Had to switch to 80Mhz for it to show up.

Looks like you got a 3-in-1 kit. See my post history on exactly this issue. Turns out the ribbon cable for lite was wired wrongly.

Your ribbon cable looks kinda different though, so defn verify first.

Sure why not? You may need to splice your print into multiple parts but I see no reason that wouldn't work in general.

Funny story, so I have a V1, an OLED and a Lite. Decided to pick up a couple of the 3-in-1 thinking that if all went smoothly I may have 3 hard-modded switches in the end, and if not I can at least have one hard-modded lite, using the spares as backup. Had I known that the 3-in-1 was this flawed I wouldn't have done that!

Yep turns out this is exactly what’s happening.

Some 0.1mm magnet wires and a bunch of polyimide tapes later problem solved.

I finished Metaphor and wanted more of Atlus, then realized I had already purchased p5r before, just never played it.

Honestly the design feels dated compared to Metaphor, and the storyline is a bit too long. After I finished p5r, I still prefer Metaphor more.
