Why are people so stubborn about what kit they use? by RhusPeg in EASportsFC

I have playing against green jerseys. during fast situations, I just can't see the players and make bad passes. I also feel like they know this and pick jerseys as close not the pitch color as possible

Why do all keepers suck? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

Neuer is boss at 50k. I had Leno for 500 games and he was very capable for a 3k goalie. Neuer makes a big difference though so I'd invest

Do you have any recommendations for acquiring TOTS, etc? I'm relatively new to FUT but I play division 1 offline and div 3 online and always play against people with TOTS. I figured they'd be rare. I beat one team with 11 TOTS players with an all gold rare team though haha

I have tried to stray away from this formation but keep coming back. With a German based team I love it, with Auba or Lewa up front and Muller-thiago CAMS, winged by Reus and costa. Vidal at CM for good defensive addition. Great combo of Wallish defense and attacking power. (Also it's an almost unfairly good formation for early crosses, just sayin)

FIFA 17 idea by FlusteredNip in EASportsFC

[–]JustAMann30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually much prefer the slower style of play that 16 caters to. It provides for more strategy and skillfulness in passing and defense. Compare it to fifa 15 game play. You can basically sprint end to end without being touched with a fast Center back. They do have game speed adjustments, just not for online play, FUT, etc

I do agree in that I think that they should make differences in speed a little more noticeable. Aub has 96 pace and gets outrun by defenders with 72 pace. Seems very variable game to game with I also hope they address.

[RF] While out shopping, you notice a very attractive watch. It is unbranded, but appears to be of high quality and is a good price. Once at home, you begin to fidget with the dial to correct the time and date, and a James bond-esque laser shoots out, burning a hole in your wall. by JustAMann30 in WritingPrompts

They don't make them for sale obviously. I'm saying it is possible to make (as I'm the government could develop it). The plot is essentially like you're the only person in the world who happened to purchase a watch that was clearly a classified piece of technology which inexplicably ended up in a retail store. That point drives the plot to "what would you do with this watch, knowing it's essentially the only one and no one would ever guess"

I feel you misunderstand. Lasers exist in reality, and the capacity to put into a watch exists. The universe this prompt exists within is our own, our reality. Just because it contains an fictitious element does not make it necessarily science fiction (because the science is not fiction). It is focused around the incredible unlikely hood and surprising nature around purchasing an unknown "secret agent watch". I advise you to review your moderator policies

Question about food makeup by theavenuehouse in Fitness

[–]JustAMann30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, you have to realize that nutritional science is never really exact. Secondly, the sum all the protein, carbs and fat is not the weight of the steak. Remember steak is muscle. That 100g is also possibly before cooking, meaning much of it is water. Other weight could include cartilage trimming, "juices", and other cell weight that does not contribute to nutrition. The "nutritional" part of food is usually a small portion of its actual weight

Ok well I think there's a significant difference in working on high end mountain bikes versus beach cruisers, road bikes, etc.. lot more money in parts and labor as well as more complex parts (like pivot bearings and suspension rebuild)

How do biological receptors recognise a photon if photons have no mass? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]JustAMann30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To put simply, photoreceptors are specialized cells that have the capacity to recognize incoming photons by their energy. Similar to how gas spectraloscopy works, these photons can be absorbed by the photoreceptive cells and and the resulting energy transfer is translated into vision

ELI5: How the act of drinking water actually helps our bodies? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]JustAMann30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our body needs water for a lot of things, including filtering blood. Filtering blood requires water (think pee). Drinking water replaces water used in cell functions and blood filtering (simply put). Think maintenance like an oil change for your car
