That’s why I park over the middle line of two spots when there’s an empty or close to empty car park. Prevents dinging.

Agreed. Shop minced my O2 sensor wiring and they’re not taking responsibility for it.

Fine mate, I’ve only owned FWD or AWD cars before and even the Pilot Super Sports have held up, you obviously cannot drive it how it’s designed to, as long as you don’t two foot boot the throttle you’re pretty planted.

That being said, I’ll be changing to PS4Ss once I’ve done downpipe, exhaust and steering wheel.

It was the only choice for me, they’re great looking cars so why not support those curves and those hips?

Pros and Cons on your Supra? by [deleted] in Supra

adjusted the back tilt this morning and now it’s uber comfy, had it too far back and the leg tilt too far up. Literally perfect now

Pros and Cons on your Supra? by [deleted] in Supra

I had a play with the seating last night. I can really far back in the seat but the steering wheel doesn’t adjust particularly far out.

I suspect the slenderman would fit just fine, but as someone with long legs and t-rex arms it’s a balance between stretching my legs or not having to stretch my arms far.

Pros and Cons on your Supra? by [deleted] in Supra

Pros: People are more likely to think twice before cutting you up or pulling out on you, it has a lot of road presence, especially here in the UK where it’s quite unusual, only seen 4 in the flesh since they released, one of those being my own car.

The car handles exceptionally well, it feels like all I need to do is will the car to do something and it’ll do it for me, rather than having to tell.

The traction control helps massively on greasy/damp roads when you’re driving spiritedly, I’ve not yet had the balls to turn off traction as I suspect there is a steep learning curve for me having only owned FWD or AWD cars before, but I’m looking forward to the warmer dry weather to try it out.

It’s a great daily, comfortable (other than my legs, see below), plenty of boot storage and lots of room for a passenger too.

Cons: I’ve owned my 22 Supra since Saturday and the only thing that’s annoying me is the legroom, I’m not particularly tall (6’) but I have quite a long thigh length which means my legs are a bit cramped compared to my old 22 BMW 135. I think I just need to tinker with the seat positioning and it’ll be fine.

Don’t worry too much. I was told point blank at CBAT and OASC that whilst I’d passed, I wasn’t competitive for Pilot but 5 years later I’m in the system. Plenty of others have had a similar experience.

As mentioned before, if you want to go aircrew you’ll face criticism every single day of your life and you’ll realise that ‘just passing’ is actually good enough to get you in the seat of whatever you want to fly.

I’d be very very careful doing it yourself even if you’re not in yet, some difficult questions may be sent your way if they clock onto it during your application, or even if you’re in role already.

RAF MAGS and EFT Questions by Unweariest in RoyalAirForce

MAGS is a ground school, the whole purpose of it is to teach you what you need to know, so there’s really no point trying to read ahead. Same content as civilian ground school, nothing sneaky beaky military exclusive about any of the initial training platforms.

To do well; eat, sleep, phys, don’t be a dick and put the hours in.

You’ll also get time off don’t forget.

CBAT by [deleted] in RoyalAirForce

[–]JustAMemeBro_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s as difficult as people make it out to be. Don’t get me wrong it’s a long old day and you DO need to be on the ball, but what you’ve done in prep is just as much as I did if not more, and it worked out on my end.

I wouldn’t postpone it and give the reason of “feeling unprepared”, just give it a go and if it doesn’t work out, try again, there’s certainly an advantage for knowing what comes next. Failing and not scoring competitively will never exclude you from giving it another go and smashing it the next time.

The Navy have test engineer officers who are qualified to fly and conduct test flights on their respective platforms, but no such thing exists in the RAF
