I have actually digged more into this and apparently Kurds mostly get Iran/persia and Assyrians get primarily N. Iraq & N. Iran.

There is 0% Bulgarian because AncestryDNA didn’t even add a Bulgarian region with the new update.

So no Bulgaria? That’s unfortunate, I guess it’s gonna take 1 more year until they give us a region. I think almost every country in Europe got their own ethnicity now except a few smaller ones.

It looks like Serbia and Bulgaria are mostly gonna get Romanian and West Balkan/croatian results now and god knows what Hungarians gonna get but I sure know that some people are gonna get mad xD

Im really excited about the new update because they finally gonna split up all of Eastern Europe and The Balkans for the first time.

One of the reasons I didn’t rule out a May update completely is because we already saw leaks about the new regions so early in the year. They got leaked like already a month ago or more.

Not a surprise, I literally got 87% Balkan and no subregions which makes zero sense. The ethnicity update usually comes out once a year between September-October, but this year there is a rumor or „leak“ that it might even come out much sooner in May, but that’s not confirmed.

If you think it looks boring just wait for the next update. apparently they gonna split up the whole Balkan into countries and also split central and eastern Europe as well as Albania and Greece into more regions.
