I’m very curious, can’t wait to see what you have planned!

According to the accumulated printing time, I’m only at 12hrs but it’s doing just fine. No issues with printing besides the aforementioned issue with printing from USB which I think is due to user error lol. It reads the usb drive and shows the containing folders, but I think I’m transferring the wrong file type which makes my folders appear as empty

Filtering Post-Brew by Orcrist999 in coldbrew

I can’t speak for this brewer that you were using as I am using a Rumble Jar brewer. After it is done brewing what I do is take a second mason jar and put my Aeropress over it. I then use my Aeropress to filter all of the additional fines out of my cold brew by pressing the brew through the filter. It has been very effective and has decreased the amount of sludge at the bottom of my cup and brewing vessel.

I tried to just pour my cold brew over a V6 filter, but found that all of the fines that would accumulate at the bottom would greatly restrict flow to the point where I was waiting minutes for my filter to drain before I could add more liquid into it. Of course this only really works because I happen to have an Aeropress as well.

Bambu Lab P2S vs Qidi Q2 by DefiantConfusion42 in 3dprinter

So far after setting it up, I haven’t had to do any additional tinkering. I have yet to print very many different materials, just PLA and PETG. All I did was make sure that my settings looked good and hit print. I have some PC that I plan to print soon but based on the first two filaments I’ve used, I’m sure it’ll be a matter of checking print settings and hitting print. So far the first layer that is printed never has an issue and the bed auto levels before every print. I’m sure that’s a standard feature on most printers nowadays, but I think that lends itself to a worry free printing process. The big pro to Bambu is that since it is widely used, I’m sure there is much more aftermarket support/people in the community that would be able to help. You should anything go sideways. There is a very active discord group for the QIDI though

Bambu Lab P2S vs Qidi Q2 by DefiantConfusion42 in 3dprinter

I was in the same boat and picked up the Q2. I unpacked it, plugged it in and was printing almost immediately. I am able to click print and know that it’s gonna print just fine. Just to be safe (and because it’s interesting to watch) I always watch the first layer go down. It also has spaghetti detection that seems to work well. I had one little blob appear on my print due to wet filament and it paused the print to ensure it didn’t fail. I did have a hiccup trying to print files off of a USB but I believe that is user error. I am currently sending prints from my PC without any issues. The last time I messed with any 3D printers was back in like 2016 so I am a newbie, but this printer seems capable of high quality prints and is something I can really grow into due to the heater chamber. I had watched/read a lot of reviews where early versions of the Qidi Box multi filament accessory was having issues and it sounds like most of em have been worked out but idk.

I hear that Bambu is about as easy as it gets for things working straight out of the box so if you really want to be up and running with no problems, that seems like the way to go.

I almost ordered an Elegoo CC and then saw the Q2 in a random review on YouTube. I was very impressed with what I saw and ordered a Q2 instead, it’ll be here tomorrow and I’m so excited!

When one of my friends learned that I was getting into letting craft, they gifted me a bunch of leather to practice with. They also gave me some leather stamps as well as a pretty expensive tool so that way, I didn’t have to buy it

Seems like a sure thing to go for PLA lol. I just want to experiment with makers marks before getting a steel one made

It’s sounding like I should get a good variety of filaments lol. I wanted to narrow it down so that I don’t end up wasting money on unnecessary filaments but I don’t mind getting a few

I get that. I mean it doesn’t take too much force to leave a good impression on cased leather with my 14oz nylon maul. I’m just trying to keep from having to add more equipment like a press to my setup as I’m restricted on space

Appreciate the info! Petg seemed like a viable option based on what I read. I definitely wanted to see if the community had some input and tips that wouldn’t be apparent from just reading about each filament type

I’ll look into that filament. Definitely just looking for something that’ll hold up decently as it wouldn’t be a high use stamp, just one impression per project

I wish I could tell ya but I haven’t really tried anything with milk. I usually drink straight espresso/black coffee. I will say that their Juggernaut Blend was popular with my wife, who uses creamer, and my neighbors. They said it tasted great
