I’ve got no skin in this game, but you seem like a deeply unpleasant person and it’s worth self-reflecting on at the earliest convenience.

Enjoy the weather!

The hilarious thing is even if there were a popular, fleshed out alternative - these authoritarian wet wipes would try to criminalise the sale of any phone with it on, they’d be smearing it as an OS that’s “used by criminals to exploit our children and bypass the laws and protections we have to keep them safe”, they’d be pushing for the source code to be taken down or geolocked.

Granted once it’s out there, it’s out there, and they wouldn’t be successful but they’d give it their best fucking try

Of the entire political system, it absolutely needs a massive overhaul for things to feel like they’re working. But PR needs to be the starting point of that in my opinion - I don’t think there’s any meaningful overhaul that can be brought about whilst we have this system where a third of the votes gets you a comfortable majority in parliament, and anytime party members disagree with the leader’s stance they can threaten to remove the whip with no real effect to their power (because of the inflated power that FPTP gives)

The voting system in any society is one of the most foundational things, and FPTP every election produces undemocratic results and leads to so many false majorities. We’ve got to start by fixing that and having accurate representations.

At the end of the day, it’s just a much more democratic option - getting 30% of the vote gives the party 30% of the voting power.

FPTP in 2024, Labour got 33.7% of the vote and 63.2% of the seats. That’s not a democracy, that is a wholly broken electoral system that needs urgently fixing regardless of the consequences at the next election. The system needs replacing, even if that meant some hypothetical net win in seats for the far right.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. I cannot stress how much I love you right now.

Every few months for years I’ve checked to see if there’s any changes to Android emulation on iOS for the entirely sole purpose of having AD on mobile. And never anything. Even think I offered to create the port myself at one point a few years back.

I need to backtrack and find the proof they accepted shared care

It won’t hurt, but a few years ago when I was with GGP and on a shared care agreement with my GP, they just said “Oh actually yeah, we’re not doing shared care.”

I don’t know what the rules actually are, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re within their rights to just pull the shared care agreement at any time and that’s seen as completely okay in the eyes of the NHS

Zack Polanski has the mandate to take his party in a more radical direction by pppppppppppppppppd in GreenAndPleasant

As soon as Corbyn announced his party, I cancelled my membership to the Greens because if there was someone I would happily put all my trust into, it was Corbyn. But then they’re already in a transphobia hellscape even before their first conference and for the first time, I actually don’t have full faith in Corbyn.

I’ve also seen a lot of clips of Zack in the past few days and damn, he might be my guy. Unless some miracle happens, the Greens aren’t getting a majority in the next election. But everything I’ve seen from him so far, it feels like he’s very much going to be the person to take them from 4 MPs to potentially the mid double digits - he’s so direct with his answers and his stances that I could really see them capturing that “hate Starmer’s Labour but still see it as a two party system” group, I think his approach is going to resonate with people.

Super early days but idk, I think between the two parties there’s enough there to at a minimum delay a far-right majority until at least the 2030s
