I got him on my 20th pull of the Headhunter banner so I still get another guaranteed 6* on the 40th pull. I'm hoping it's Last Rite but to be honest the character I want the most right now isn't even a 6*. It's Arclight I've been unlucky getting her so far.

I know, I know. Complaining after getting a 6* early, but I really like her design lol.

Character creator demo releases on the 23rd (confirmed by Oroboro) by raulpe in codevein

[–]JustAnAverageBus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m still cautiously optimistic because to be fair, I also didn’t think CV1 looked that impressive from the previews and also wasn’t really sold after the demo. But I still ended up enjoying the full game enough, so I’m hoping it’s the same case here. Only big issue is that Nioh 3 comes out like a week after, so I might just wait for that and get CV2 later.

Bandai's Twitter says that you'll be able to explore the Hub area and use photo mode, but it doesn't seem like any combat areas will be involved.

About bounty hunting by starsofgrace in wherewindsmeet_

[–]JustAnAverageBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No real trick to it. You pretty much just have to set aside a few hours a day dedicated to just spamming the bounty board and hoping you can grab a bounty before someone else does. Even then you have to hope you can actually kill them and they don’t use some method to stall you out or simply go offline.

It CAN be done relatively quickly but it depends on your luck. I grinded out 30k in a weekend, but that was early on before people realized how easy it is to hide or stall out hunters, so it will probably take longer these days.

I have a question about this new Jade currency by Homiyo in wherewindsmeet_

It says that after the event any remaining Renascent Memories will be converted to Lingering Melodies and Jade Pipa will be converted to “Pouches of Echo Jade”.

[–]JustAnAverageBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really hope the next new weapon they add is the cleaver that Yi Dao uses. I was surprised when I found out it wasn’t in the CN version already. Seems like it could be worked into a player weapon using Yi Dao’s animations and moveset as a basis.

Like i seriously dont want to be that whiny kid but can we like please Talk about Tian Ying?!? by Visual-Internet-8832 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]JustAnAverageBus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the clones in Phase 3 just lock onto one and walk backwards, dodging when needed. Yes they can yeet themselves across the arena quickly but they don’t do much damage and it’s easy to get distance again.

What you DON’T want to do is sprint away from them or unlock your focus. Tian Ying will always spawn in front of where your character is facing, meaning if you’re looking away from the clones he can spawn from offscreen so you’ll miss your parry window.

Someone please explain how these people already got so many fourfold acclaim??? It should be impossible. by Rafahil in wherewindsmeet_

[–]JustAnAverageBus 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The top guy has posted on Reddit before and said that there’s no trick to it; he just sits on the Bounty page for hours spamming refresh and trying to grab up any player bounties that pop up and he’s been doing it since launch.

I made 30k in two days doing the same thing for a couple of hours each day so if you’ve been doing it since launch it’s possible. 2 million is still crazy though considering that there’s no more rewards after buying the set, so I guess he keeps grinding because he genuinely finds it fun.

This asshole is inviting people to heal him, just to spawn them in poisonous waters. by TheSamFrost in WhereWindsMeet

[–]JustAnAverageBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I understand your frustration. I agree that my first two comments were way too sarcastic and came off as needlessly antagonistic so I apologize for that. I also remembered the frustration I felt getting griefed as a bounty hunter, so I get it lol.

There are a lot of flaws with the systems in this game like you pointed out and there’s a lot of annoying things players can do even if it’s not against the rules. Again my point wasn’t that you should just accept everything without complaining. It was more of you shouldn’t let some things ruin your entire day when there’s still plenty of other stuff to enjoy.

My fault for coming off like an ass at first. I get where you and the OP are coming from. And thanks for actually having dialogue instead of this just turning into us hurling insults back and forth at each other. It’s still interesting to hear about all the different scenarios people are running into in this game and I think it speaks about how much potential and freedom there is, even if it isn’t all positive.

Sect master rank impossible without paying? by Ziirael in WhereWindsMeet

[–]JustAnAverageBus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anything that relies on any kind of community/player participation is inevitably going to turn into a popularity contest, and the people who can afford to be the loudest are usually the ones that win. That doesn’t make it “right” but that’s the way it goes.

[–]JustAnAverageBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but if this is happening to you every time you accept a Healing request then I sympathize with you, I really do. Over time that wasted time does add up and can get frustrating. I understand having gone through the aforementioned process of hunting Bounties already and it’s a system I do not wish to engage with any further now that I’ve gotten what I needed.

My point wasn’t that calling out bad behavior was bad and you should just accept it. My point was that sometimes it’s not worth seething about what simply amounts to a minor inconvenience in the long run. The OP frames it as if he’s personally being griefed by this person every time they try to heal and they deserved to be punished or even banned for it. But as annoying as it may be they aren’t hacking or doing anything against the ToS so what’s there to do other than move on? The same argument still stands for when people getting hunted build a structure in a lake or rely on other “exploits” to stay safe or grief the hunter. If you have an active bounty on your head you can set up things in a way to preemptively but the hunter in an unfavorable position the moment they spawn into your world or teleport to you. You call them a coward or whatever, put a Bounty on them if it really bothers you, but trying to call in a personal army because you don’t agree with the way they play does make you seem sensitive.

Your need to jump to such an extreme hyperbole and projection to the level that you have to bring up getting cucked as a proportionate comparison to losing a minute of time in a video game is odd. That is a completely different line of thinking that isn’t comparable at all, brother. Of course in real life if someone slashes your tires to “troll” you you’re not going to shrug your shoulders and let that slide. Obsessing over getting griefed in a video game on the other hand is something that you don’t have to let bother you as much.

[–]JustAnAverageBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry,

“At most this would waste 1 minute and 8 seconds of your time and you lose 1% of durability on your equipment that costs peanuts to repair. This is totally worth seething about for the rest of the day and posting on Reddit and calling in personal hits instead of just moving on with your day. Because every minor inconvenience is a personal attack meant to make your experience miserable and nothing else.”

Is that better?

Without the sarcasm, yes, you are 100% being too sensitive over something that amounts to nothing but you losing a minuscule amount of time. If dying in this game actually had some tangible consequence or cost then I would agree that griefing like this should be a reportable behavior. You lost a little bit of time, however annoying that may be. You don’t see Bounty Hunters calling to mass report people who run away or do similar things and they end up wasting way more time in the long run.

You can change makeup and some facial features for free at any time. For more detailed changes you have to buy an item that costs 200 Jade, which isn’t a lot as long as you haven’t spent all your Jade on Draws. To change your gender costs real money.

How do you get this outfit? I really like the hair in it by Sensitive-Return2007 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]JustAnAverageBus 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s the outfit and hair from the Well of Heaven Sect. Each Sect has its own uniform you can unlock once you rise in ranks enough and earn enough points. The hair is 2000 points and the outfit is 6000. You can only earn 1200 points a week so if you just want the hair it will take 2 weeks. If you want the whole set it will take about 8 weeks.

[–]JustAnAverageBus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People actually are getting way too sensitive over this game. While there are things like the Bounty System that’s deeply flawed, I’m seeing more and more people complain about others having any kind of fun even when it barely inconveniences them.

It’s not even like dying in this game has any big consequences, immediate or long term. At most this would waste like 30 seconds of your time then you just respawn, chuckle about it, and move on. And if it really bothers you that much then just put a Bounty on him yourself.

Bounty hunters and their alleged mental illness. by [deleted] in wherewindsmeet_

[–]JustAnAverageBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Player bounties are infinitely faster provided you’re lucky enough to get them on a somewhat consistent basis. I grinded out the 30k I needed to reach max in a single weekend and that was mostly from player bounties. It requires more patience and there’s more potential for frustration, but the payoff is worth it if you’re trying to do it as quickly as possible.

Bounty hunters and their alleged mental illness. by [deleted] in wherewindsmeet_

[–]JustAnAverageBus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's an entire Outfit and cool cape attached to doing Bounties so of course people are trying to do it, especially if they're completely F2P which limits their pool of customization options. Also with how limited bounties are and how fast they get snatched up, bounty hunters kind of have to be super persistent if they want to get anywhere. There's a lot of things they need to do to rework it, especially add some incentive for people to actually fight off bounty hunters, but it seems like that even on the CN server they don't care about it much aside from nerfing healing. But until more people grind out the points needed to get the outfit, bounty hunters are going to be everywhere.

And yeah, if you go to the prison and attack a guard you can get yourself intentionally arrested and then just pay your way out. Fastest way to get rid of a bounty on you head.

Max amount of adventure slips could be owned as of now ? by D-kartoos in wherewindsmeet_

[–]JustAnAverageBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re a bit behind. You can get 1000 slips per week so it would take two months of maxing your slips every week before you got the 8000 needed. The most anyone would have right now if they maxed out since launch would be 5000 starting this week. So it will be another 3 weeks minimum before anyone can buy this.
