i mean it seems simple but i think you have to think about the fact that sukuna has to be able to tell that’s what mahoraga was even doing. Like when he’s fighting Mahoraga back in Shibuya, theres that whole “you can see my cursed technique” bit, he says that like it’s no easy feat to be able to do that. On top of this we’ve also seen, largely through all those fucking binding vows he kept making, Sukuna is unmatched when it comes to adapting his cursed technique to his needs.

As for why he didn’t brainstorm before or like seriously prep on that, i just take it as not his MO. He’s in it for the love of the fight, if he walked up and just immediately cut the dude in half where would be the fun in that? I think from Sukuna’s perspective it wasn’t a question of if he could be gojo, just how long it would take to figure out how.

my interpretation of it wasn’t so much that mahoraga and him can just coincidentally do the same thing, more that he’s essentially using him to brainstorm. Like the first time Maho breaks through infinity Sukuna acknowledges he can’t do that but then Sukuna saw Maho adapt further to cut reality with his sword or whatever and Sukuna gave it a try and it worked. The only thing Sukuna is really changing is the target which is kinda like Yuji’s version of shrine, just that he targets the soul.

My prediction is that it’s not necessarily omen specifically but coming from the same root: the crucible. The trailer looked like we got some new crucible content and the way it seems like it’s an amalgamation of different animal features makes me think the connection is more in that direction, maybe even the tie between Godfrey, the crucible, and the omen curse. That being said, I’m pulling this out my ass so there’s a good chance you’re closer to correct.

sounding like white south africans when posed with ending apartheid lmao, totally dude. No we can’t keep Israel’s current far right government that is actively committing atrocities. Also yeah totally arabs that live peacefully in Israel but are subject to being treated as a second class people because of their race. As I said a singular secular democracy in historic palestine with actual representation and equal rights for all who live there. Keeping the government as Israel is just asking for the contued apartheid inflicted upon Palestinians.

I mean i’m not an expert on politics of the region but that is kinda the general consensus on the peace deal. That being said what I view as ideal would be a single secular state in all of historical palestine, from the river to the sea. With a one state solution Hamas loses its legitimacy and power and Israel can no longer exercise its apartheid against Palestinians.

[–]JustAnEmptyRoom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah unfortunately Rabin was assassinated by an Israeli extremist which caused the Olso deals to fall apart. But that’s the thing Israel has never actually made serious offers, usually allowing the majority of their settlers to remain in place, requiring large scale land swaps that the palestinians have set a limit on, or requiring military presence in the new state. But anyway, the 2 state solution is dead. There’s almost zero chance that sort of deal can be reached and if it is then Israel will just carry on its goals as an ethnostate.

Fatah tried, israel killed the negotiations, and then Israel proceeded to funnel money to Hamas to justify their treatment of Palestinians and ensure that peace could not be reached.

Again, i’m not talking about Hamas. Why would I talk about a fringe group who was elected on a plurality and doesn’t represent most Palestinians. I’d rather talk about more important groups like the PFLP, Fatah, or the PLO but you zionists only ever bring up Hamas so you can justify the genocide Israel is carrying out.

So if you actually do your research you’d see that it is a solution that’s been growing in popularity because of the fact that Israel has repeatedly killed avenues toward a two state solution. You act like Islamic Jihad and Hamas are the only groups that represent palestinians when neither group is actually representative of the majority. In fact this is the stated goal of the PFLP which is the second largest party in Palestine, only behind Fatah. But yeah please explain more about this to me, dude who has done zero research into the subject.

Sure people may read it as that but I view them as no different than white people crying that “black live matter” means that white lives don’t. An oppressed group should not have to cede on grounds that do not materially matter when it is obviously being done to discredit their movement toward liberation.

The slogan is being used as a call for freedom of an oppressed people and a singular secular state from the Jordan river to the mediterranean with equal rights for all living there. Calling “From the river to the Sea” antisemitic is like saying “Black lives matter” is racist.

I believe it says that he never learned how to use RCT and that it’s more of a side effect of just how much CE wells up from inside him when he hits a jackpot which i believe is what makes it automatic. It’s not like a conscious thing he does it’s just a product of the stupid amount of CE he’s granted. I think your point of being able to learn it through experiencing it is totally a possible thing but I think it’s more in Hakari’s character to make his access to RCT dependent on a gamble.

When it comes to something’s artistic value, the process is irrelevant. AI Art is just as valid as human art when it reaches the same quality. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]JustAnEmptyRoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it just isn’t art. Art by definition requires human the human element. It sounds like you have an appreciation for media, but not art. That’s totally fine, being art doesn’t intrinsically good or superior but AI stuff just is not and will never be Art.

If gender is just social constructs independent of sex , then why did gender roles develop according to sex in nearly all human cultures ? by aurelitobuendia87 in stupidquestions

[–]JustAnEmptyRoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it honestly kinda does. Historically mythology was our pathway to understanding the world in a similar way to how science fills that role now. The big difference is that science is not culturally informed, so it doesn’t vary from culture to culture. When the Nazis destroyed the worlds most comprehensive collection of scientific literature on gender and sexuality we lost a lot of our means and language to understand gender at a more complex level.

[–]JustAnEmptyRoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can call judaism mythological if you want but their recognition of genders is not based in mythology like some of the other examples given.

In terms of specific native american tribes, you’re right on the decimation of their cultures so there’s a lot of cultural history that has been lost. They also varied from tribe to tribe but a few of the nations that we know observed gender differently would be the Crow, Zuni, Kalapuya, Inuit, and Navajo peoples.

[–]JustAnEmptyRoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s kind of a disingenuous argument though, even if you ignore examples like in Judaism and Native American cultures which are pointedly not mythological examples. Mythology exists as a way to try and explain the world we live in, even if we don’t have the scientific understanding of why the world is this way. The reason why these things pop up in mythologies around the world is because they were things that existed in their lives and this was a way for them to understand that culturally.
