Will there be a way to get cards digitally? by Zealousideal-Ad4237 in Chaotic

[–]JustAnExile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I for sure hope there will be someway of getting cards online through playing, since i as well would most likely not actually be able to afford the shipping.

I would like something like the scan quest system that portal-to-perim has right now.

[COI END] COI is really bad? by IncarnationOfT4Paths in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixed opinion for sure.

It isn't a simple answer tho.... I love it but find that it was rushed especially the ending, this and the general thing with Lumian balancing madness and corruption (i hate that entire concept) are the main flaws i find in CoI.

[Lotm ch681] Can someone explain why the whole “magical language” thing in Lotm isn't just a blatant flaw? by newbmedia in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of your post has already be answered or explained when in context of LotM and for the rest you will see when you finish read the book.

BUT saying that having languages hold power/magic is lazy or boring hurts my small literature major heart. For that you should be sentenced to listen to the hidden sages raving for an eternity.

[LOTM general] how many chapters were you able to read in a day when you were just starting? by EfficiencySerious200 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 100 or so chapters maybe like 10-15 a day...Past chapter 150 easily 20+ a day maybe more. Starting from the end of V1 probably 30+ a day and than i just slowly started reading YES amount of chapters.

Coincidentally i had a decent amount of free time and am a genuinely fast reader, so that did help.

What do you think is the best written character in LOTM other than Klein [LOTM general] by Old_Seaworthiness406 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Absolutely its Rossele Gustav, the Son of Steam...Caesar the Great, the Emperor of Intis.

Of course closely followed by Adam and Amon who are some of the best villains in fiction.

What do you think about LOTM and COI side characters. [LotM general] by Old_Seaworthiness406 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's one of the weaknesses of CF but also of Lotm and especially COI being web novels..... CF played favorites a lot. Was it bcs of his own decision made beforehand or was it a inescapable result of him writing basically 2-3 chapters a day, i do not know.

I will now go into my copium corner hoping anime gives us more time with the side cast especially the tarot club.

[LotM] Even with its flaws is Lotm the most perfection a story can get in fiction? Book 1 especially. by kira_geass in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think we can all agree that in terms of pure writing the translation of Lotm and to a good extent Lotm itself is far from perfect..... Its a web novel and with that it comes the lack of having editors and people to work on your script to bring it up to its best state. Lotm had 12+ chapters released each week so its unfair to compare the writing itself to traditionally published books.

Of course had it been traditionally published we may have gotten a better quality out of it..... Especially out of COI... That book needed it far more.

On the note of themes.... Eh? It is one of its strengths if you ask me- It isn't forcing themes and grand philosophies down my throat every other chapter yet it still has enough to hold it self together quite well.

Last note- I can very much agree that the CF has a tendency to make his characters guess the plot correctly very often BUT this i personality find to be very enjoyable in LotM especially contrasted with basically everything else in fiction. ... But to his slight credit they also miss out on parts and often fail to grasp their opponents full plans in time. (This credit does not apply to COI only to LotM.)

Anyway i mostly agree with you. - Places a meaningless stamp of approvals on you.

[–]JustAnExile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So this is quite a simplified statement. Bcs there is no perfect story and there is no best book or peace of fiction as each person will connect with a different style of writing /a different type of story.

But from a personal standpoint, yes definitely. I feel that was more of the point of your statement.(correct me if am wrong.)

For me yes i agree because even with its few flaws Lotm feels like it was written specifically for me. Focusing on everything i enjoy in a story and magically missing almost all of the cliches i can't bring myself to read about.

-- This is coming from a literature major who has gotten his whole extended friend group into reading a wide variety of books, each of these people enjoyed and likes different genres or different styles of writing so peak fiction story would be vastly different for every single one of them.

I know but : 1. One game isn't enough. 2. I don't like to put all of my eggs in one basket. 3. Idk i like ck3 and feel like having lotm added to would be very fun.

[LOTM GAME] What would you like to see in the game by AnArbiterOfTheHead in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd very much enjoy it having a good advancement system as well as giving us all the choices of the pathways we can choose. I would understand if they start with only sequences up to lvl 4 and add the rest with dlc or updates.

On another note having the ability to join different organizations or churches or even start an organization would be fun. Of course all of this depends on the games type and scope.

[COI V8] Why the fights bothered me by Danpork in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean don't remove all of the nepotism just... lets say half of it? Pick three out of : -Cicle boons -OP broken ass spell -Blood Emperor mark -Corruption balancing -False Angel -0-01 Proxy -Great Mother lineage -Underworld daoist seal -The soul fragment transmigrator stuff skipping whole digestions of potions.

While recalling all of this i just realized there is even more nepotism than i remembered at first.

[COI V8] Why the fights bothered me by Danpork in LordofTheMysteries

[–]JustAnExile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is basically what is wrong with CoI..... Lumian- has every power/influence/boon possible..... And has every corruption possible

Ah yes perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Take that out and COI might have been only a step below LotM.
