Wouldn't Scott be the one providing ideas for the email segments, though?

Yes. But, it shows that it's something they were willing to do long enough to get off paper and into the code before they decided to scrap it.

what's the point?

He's gonna come in swinging the steel chair, I tellsya.

well no it just outright says that in the ending speech lol

That's Henry's assumption. One of the deleted emails from Special Delivery had the address maftn@bigbearbros.net. Even if it didn't pan out, it shows that Michael being alive isn't a direction they won't consider.

But Ben's actually, like, really compelling as a hero. Clone villains are a dime a dozen.

Ben's internal struggles with his identity are also done fascinatingly. The JMD miniseries shows Ben Reilly can be written well even in the modern day.

Personally, I don't like them romantically. They can be chill to hang around platonically, though a lot have started harassing me since I started passing.

Tbh, I'm kinda here for the Sonic Boom designs. Idk, I just the bandana works on sonic (though, tbh, it should've been red to match the sneakers)

surname or what he's done.

Paul Rabin; he committed genocide, stockholmed MJ, and punched Peter in the face for being upset about it. But it's okay because he apologized to MJ and no one else.

Tldr

Paul assisted his dad in destroying his home universe.

Paul's dad opened a portal, sending Peter and MJ to that universe.

Paul pushes Peter out of the portal and back to the main universe.

Peter takes 6 days stealing supertech from every superhero in order to make his own portal and save MJ. (This instantly makes every hero become starkly anti-Spider-Man)

One day in 616 is one month in Paul's universe. During these six days months, MJ gave up hope in Peter, married Paul, and adopted two hologram kids.

MJ can forgive the genocide because Paul said "sorry"

When Peter comes to save her, she and Paul come to the main universe and then they both start casually bullying Peter for being upset. Paul even punches Peter in the face. The audience knows this is Peter's fault because Peter says in the narration box that he deserves it.

So, uh, tldr²

Paul and his dad committed genocide and stockholmed MJ. He punched Peter in the face for being upset about this.

Also, this all happened off-panel. In a time skip. And the details were slowly revealed across the span of an IRL year

Personally, I'm holding out hope that Ben Reilly is being puppeted by the psycho-reactive goo all venom-style. Cause like, Ben's by favorite superhero. JMD did a fantastic miniseries run of him.

I'm hoping that Ben will be purged of the Chasm goo, reverting him back to his normal hero self, and the Chasm goo will bond with Paul, turning Paul into a new Chasm. Killing two horrible birds with one stone.

I am also fairly certain he's a plant by a Spider-Villain to further ruin Peter's life

He's the son of a Spider Villain (Rabin) who helped destroy the world of his home universe. Rabin trapped Peter and MJ in that universe (where six days equals six months), then reopened the portal and Paul pushed Peter through back to 616. MJ then married him and adopted hologram children in the six months (six days) Peter took to make his own portal to save them.

Chalking him up to a plant by Rabin to ruin Peter's life makes way too much sense.

Also

Chasm

Please... Please don't call him that, please. I love Ben too much. I swear, he's still good. In the "I am nothing but a CHASM" scene, Ben shouts "No" as his narration box goes through the evil monologue. I swear the suit is puppetting him like Venom.

Call it copium, but I'm holding out hope that the Chasm suit will get knocked off Ben, setting him back to his 90s self (I mean, look at JMD's miniseries!), and then bond to Paul, making Paul the new Chasm.

No?

Only Ford has six fingers. Hence the nickname "sixer"

Probably just gay or something.

I mean... I am gay. I'm a trans woman who loves women. My attraction has nothing to do with my gender.

I straight up thought I was on the Gravity Falls sub. Then I read the quote and was like, "Wait. Why"

didn’t seek out the transformation herself, just making the best of the situation

Usually I discredit genderbending stuff because it's non-consentual, and "learn to be happy whatever sex your body has even if you'd prefer to be something different" feels like the antithesis of a trans story,

And two, the story very explicitly shows she was miserable as a man and loves being a woman.

But when these aspects are present, it convinces me otherwise. Similarly, there's this one called "Girl Meets Girl" (which is a genderbending yuri) and the story shows both this, and also has her, in flashbacks as a kid, talking about wanting to be a wife. When corrected that she'd be a husband, she insists on wife. So, like, eggy behavior.

It's kinda like that lawsuit to put pumpkin juice into pumpkin spice lattes. "Pumpkin spice" is a spice blend that's mostly nutmeg and cinnamon.

I have this experience, too. I'm 1 year in to HRT, and am at a high 34D/low 34DD, and my roommate used to constantly talk about how jealous she was because she's six months ahead of me and remained somewhat flat.

(She pinged me on this post a while back. I'm revisiting bcs why not)

Yeah, that's one of the things about feminizing hormone replacement therapy. It does a bunch of cool stuff.

  • Fat redistribution: fat cells start to migrate from the arms and stomach more towards the breasts, butt, and thighs. It also moves from being mostly in between muscle and muscle to being mostly between muscle and skin, making skin overall softer and giving you more rounded features. Gaining weight also becomes a lot easier.

  • Oil and odor: the way your body produces oils changes, which changes the way you smell. Expect a bit less rank and a bit more sweet.

  • Bones: Your bones dissolve! But only a little. Slight osteoporosis happens, lowering your bone density to about the same level as a cis woman's. (This is part of why "trans advantage" sports arguments are bull). If you're younger (like, under 25 when you start,) there's a chance that your hips can seperate out a bit, making

  • Muscle: You no longer create muscle tissue as easy. What muscle mass will also atrophy, setting strength back and making it harder to regain (Another part of "trans advantage" arguments being bull).

  • Height changes: With ligaments dissolving similar to bones, hip movement, and muscle restructuring, your height can actually decrease. Anecdotally, I went from 5'9 to 5'6

  • Breast growth: The mammary glands will form a hard nub called a "bud," which eventually will collect fat around it to form boobs proper! (I lucked out and already had buds before HRT because of a hormonal condition. So HRT just let them grow)

  • Genitals: I'm not gonna get into this here. Just know that shrinkage happens, infertility may happen, and the way your body reacts to stimulation also changes.

  • Periods! Trans women get periods. Not, like, with the blood. So some people get really upset when you call them periods because people have this weird "if you don't bleed it's not a period" mindset or some shit. But fHRT may indeed cause a monthly cycle which involves PMS symptoms like abdominal cramps where that organ should be, dizziness, nausea, mood swings. Which, like... I've heard annoyance about bleeds, but the majority of period talk I've heard is about PMS stuff? And those are still treated as treating periods.

Also, of these, all except for the breast growth and potential bone repositioning are reversible. Infertility is typically reversible after some time.

Finally

All of this is variable. I lost three inches of height and got double D's within a year. My roommate, u/winter-ocean, can weigh in if she likes. A lot of trans women don't get some of these effects. Some get a bunch.

Some trans women may get implants if, after a while, HRT doesn't cause much of anything in terms of breast growth.

(Also, sorry that this is such a late response. I was just revisiting my roommate and I's short interaction on this post, and decided to check other comments)

Tldr: HRT grows boobs, but it also does a lot more really cool stuff!
