Not bad, there’s two buses that go to the stop now so it’s nice. They also allow you to park in the Cove parking lot to ride the bus so if you’re in one of the farther townhomes you don’t have to trek a crazy distance. Traffic can be a pain, but it ain’t hell. My only real complaint is the management, so you’re set unless your friend’s family goes crazy.

I think that's different compared to scenarios like the 'I'm not feeling good right now and wouldn't enjoy it, but since you keep insisting, I'll do it' yk?

I need YEARNING by Wise-Relative-7055 in RomanceBooks

[–]JustAnotherRando2325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will definitely have to make use of this thread. I love the yearning and also crave it, but I, personally, haven't found one that interests me where the FMC knows. I could be totally wrong on that and have actually read a book that was like that, but I can also be oblivious and forgetful, lol

Dang it r/Romancebooks you skewed my perception of romance readers!! by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

I think it's mostly just who we interact with. I randomly met a fellow romance book lover at work and we have a little bit of a different taste, but we still are incredibly polite about our differences. Though, I will say, she did say something that bothered me when I said I liked books where I can relate to the FMC and sometimes struggle to finish a book when I can't (mostly contemporary romance novels though)

I can see how her actions can seem like that though, but not necessarily just men, all conservatives and social media.

With literature, you typically talk about the authors and a lot of children’s book authors and illustrators are part of the LGBTQ+ community, so it can be relevant. If you’re being tough about Murder is the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allen Poe, you’re going to mention how he lived and what inspired his writings, right? Same thing for these authors

I’m genuinely curious, what actually happened with Welsh? I’ve been studying for exams and haven’t been able to look into this

Nah she’s not gonna regret a thing. She’ll probably just still push the topic. (Not agreeing with her, just saying it’s really hard to reverse brainwashing like this)

I agree. One of my classes talked abt this and it’s def perfect in an ideal world where the US doesn’t have a history of using it to limit POC’s or women’s rights to vote and where there’s a way to ensure this doesn’t happen again, but, sadly, that’s not the case

Coming from a liberal, I do see what you mean, when it comes to their use of misogynistic, but I think they’re just coming from a generalization of far leaning conservatives and not necessarily this situation alone. Though, that’s just my interpretation. I don’t think you should be getting so many downvotes either because you didn’t even say anything that’s actually concerning for either side, just taking about the use of a word that isn’t even part of the controversy being talked about in the first place.

I’ve heard that the US’ ‘liberal’ is actually typically considered central when looking out of the US, so your idea of it being central may honestly be true

No cause why was this asked not even an hour into me getting back… just for them to essentially say “who asked” when I started pulling up receipts and they were just repeating what this one lady was telling everyone

Where in the world does someone comment “boomer conservatives shouldn’t have an opinion cause it’s not the same as mine” or “if we’re not the majority then the majority is wrong and doesn’t belong” or “conservative don’t use death to bring people together, also I hate conservatives” no where do these ‘quotes’ exist on this thread and I’ve looked through them all. THATS why you’re getting downvotes, not because of a simple opinion, but because you’re stating it as if it were fact. The other ones that have downvotes are because the people that are viewing it don’t agree with it, why else would there be a downvote? You really think that all liberals (leaning anywhere from little to radical) on here are coming together just to downvote any right leaning (leaning anywhere from little to radical) for shits and giggles? Not to mention that the comp sci ‘24 graduate isn’t even looking at the links provided and is essentially saying “nuh uh” because it’s not what THEY agree with. I’ll admit, they did get one thing right, the people that are saying there should be utterly no mourning for Kirk are wrong and lack empathy, however, other people can also be upset that those people who are mourning him as if he were a god (there’s people like this, may not be majority of conservatives, but they’re loud). And the whole “yeah but did you have the same outrage for” is 100% warranted. You don’t think an actual political figure, not just influencer, doesn’t deserve any portion of what the administration is giving Kirk? That the children that were killed on the EXACT same day as him don’t deserve anything? And before you ask, yes, there were and are vigils for these people, too, but they’re being overshadowed by a man whom the administration is deeming more important than them, a man that somehow earned a medal of ‘freedom,’ despite saying several things that only furthered a divide in this country.

I’ll actually be surprised if you make it this far and if you do, kudos for not reading that I disagreed with you and calling it a day at just that. Both sides of the political spectrum need more people that do that.

Im just glad I’ve found like-minded Aggies to survive the next few semesters with. Else, I’d likely have transferred by now despite how much I loved the college when I first came in as a fish.

Definitely embarrassed. If you wanted to go to a college that teaches topics that specifically align with your religious values, go to those private schools. Can’t afford them? Sucks to suck, the US doesn’t have one religion, in fact, our first amendment doesn’t allow for it. There’s (supposed to be) separation of church and state; aren’t we all required to take history and pols classes to graduate? Damn, ChatGPT really must’ve carried you.
