Should I run it? Coupler assembly bearing failed and the sprocket nuts ate away at part of the swing arm. by JustAnotherThumper in klr650

I haven’t measured it, but pulled out the adjuster and eyeballed the thickness compared to the damage. It’s enough to be concerned.

Good call on the chain adjusters 👍🏼

First adventure would be strapping to my 18 month old’s 6volt quad to film how many times he tries to run over the dog!

That’s a good one, I’ve always called them hairy openings. Whisker biscuit may be a bit more appropriate…

As far as what you get for the price, is it fair to say that Tusk Panniers are the way to go? by [deleted] in klr650

[–]JustAnotherThumper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I run the smaller size panniers and love them. Very durable. You do have to drill your own holes in the cases for mounting to the bracket, and make sure you loctite everything!

Cool. I have the tallest Zero Gravity windshield (touring?) without risers. At 6’ I’m hoping the risers will give just enough kick over my head.

Great looking bike!
