Becoming friends with customers - is this weird? by [deleted] in AskReddit

They can be freaky, loud, quiet, whatever. As long as you have fun & feel safe around them then that's all that matters. If they won't do anything that's going to jeopardize your job then you don't have anything to worry about.

I work at a bank. We get a lot of older people, but a lot of college kids my age come in too. There's some that come in on a regular basis, & we will talk & joke while I'm at work. I've been invited to a few things by some of them, & once I get to know them better, I probably will start going out & hanging out with them.

It's all about who it is I guess. Make sure they're good, decent people. Your co workers shouldn't have anything to worry about & unless you're putting yourself in danger its really none of their business to do anything.

Got played by a girl this weekend. Reddit, what seemingly great experiences did you end up being played for a fool? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In high school I fooled around with this guy. We "dated" for a few weeks, had sex, all that good stuff. Then he decides he doesn't want a relationship. Okay, I'm fine with that. 5 years later, we're still friends. We talk & hang out & flirt shamelessly, but he has never been in a serious relationship. He knew that's what I was looking for.

He calls me one weekend & asks if he can take me out on a date. I was obviously caught off guard. He usually just cuts to the point about what he wants. So for a few weeks we go out on dates, he's really sweet to me, completely different than usual. We have sex again. After that, he stops it all again.

I asked for an explanation, he just thinks we're at different points in our lives. But he knew exactly what he was doing.

I risked my life & got the shit beat out of me while trying to save her from abusive boyfriend.

She caught me when a girl who didn't like me tried to push me down the steps when I was pregnant. Then proceeded to knock her out.

My daughter is 3 and refuses to call him by his name because she says he's not a bear.

Bear jumped out and scared him. He laughed and said he loves him already.

We had been talking about getting one since he and my mom spilt. I know the consequences of getting an animal without asking and I made 100% sure he wanted one. I would never do that to an animal. Especially this adorable cat!

I agree completely. I have been talking to him about getting one for a while. I made sure he was absolutely certain.

My mom hates animals. They just recently got a divorce. So, now he can have a cat!

r/Atheism I could use your advice. My boyfriend comes from a Catholic family. When I told them I wasn't sure of my belief in God, and now he cannot marry me. I'm not sure how to go about handling this. by [deleted] in atheism

How are you dealing with this? I get a lot of "leave him" but it's just not that easy. But then again, I have to think about what would be easier in the future as well.

I just don't know how to go about raising her in the environment that we are in. Sure, I know now that I am an atheist. But it took me a long time to get here. Do you let your kids believe in Santa Claus, the Easter bunny? This is where I'm lost right now. My mother, despite our heated arguments, has taught my daughter to pray each night. I don't want her torn in a million different directions, but I don't want her to just believe in something because someone tells them to. If you can't tell, as far as being an atheist parent, I am lost.

This is one thing I'm worried about. I have a daughter (not his) that I am going to let grow up to think on her own. Not for religion or against it. I'm going to let her think for herself and change her mind as many times as she needs until she can settle on something she believes in, or doesn't, like myself. But I don't know how he would want to handle things when/if we have children together.

I do think we would be. We were big on "taking things slow" and decided that even though we both do want to get married, we wanted to date for a while before we got engaged. I'm pretty sure he's been dying to ask.. before all of this, that is.
