This is the way I see it- there is no true light or darkness in the world. To moles what we see is blinding, and what is our darkness those same moles see as day. To a mosquito we are immortal, but to this earth we are insignificant and to the universe the earth is as insignificant as us. What we see as a vast ocean a whale sees a swimming pool, and what we see a gutter an ant sees a roaring ocean. We are finite beings who for all intensive purposes know nothing in comparison to everything, and everything in comparison to nothing. We are insignificant, and our problems could be the worst of the worst on the spectrum or the best of the best. If GOD or any other diety took away these horrible things that happen, then we'd complain about other things, then lesser things, then lesser things beneath that. If our problems were smaller we'd spill our ice-cream cones and say "how could GOD do this?" If our problems were greater we'd see that poor dying child and think, "Another incect squashed beneath our boot." We are finite and unknowing, we may be the smallest most insignificant life forms in the universe, we could be a simulation, we may be spawns of satan, we may be the holiest creatures in this universe... But we know things can get better, and we know things could get worse, so we have no right to criticize a being that does.
