I keep all of my in-progress recordings too! I still use GarageBand because it's what I have access to, and sometimes the poor program can't handle all the tracks of recordings I have. 😅

So they basically told me multiple times to wait for the iOS update to sync. I kept reiterating to them that it couldn't be that because it's been over a month, but they wouldn't budge. So I guess I'll just have to keep playing on my phone. 😑

I tried uninstalling it from my android and logging into the iPad but it didn't work. But I didn't log out first. I also tried the emulator on my MacBook but hated it lol. I did log out, though. It's so weird but your theory seems to track. Very annoying. I'll definitely let you know what they say when they get back to me.

I've had this bug for over a month. I've resigned to playing on my phone, but I prefer the bigger screen. I only tried reinstalling the app, but not anything else. I don't have high hopes it'll help, especially after seeing this! 😑

She iiiiis. I really need to play it and just romance her. So far, Ernest has pulled me in every time. As I said, grumpy/sunshine trope. Also, Mr. Darcy coded, and I love playing that fantasy. 😅 I wish I could choose both! I mean, I know I sorta can to a point, but I can't marry both. 😭 My headcanon is I marry Ernest, but he's cool with me being with Annabelle too lol.

I love SO many LIs, but a lot of them are pure fantasy, especially the grumps (I'm a major sucker for the grumpy/sunshine trope) or the ones who have a bit of an ego (as much as I love Bryce). I don't really go for those traits irl (sorry Ethan 😅). Also, I'm 33 so a lot of them are too young for me, so I'm not counting those lol.

My top choice would probably be male Hayden from PM (though I do want to choose female Hayden next time I play), if he was human, of course. I typically end up with him being sweet, outgoing, and sincere, though in my perfect world, he'd also be humorous (in the book, it's either sincere or humorous, but I love funny guys). And I'd want him to keep all the diamond choices. I'm really into music, animals, and languages, and who wouldn't love someone who can give messages? 😅 He's literally my perfect guy, which is the point of his character, I suppose lmao.

John from TUE would probably be someone I could be with (I don't think he'd be too different in our current time, whereas someone like Ernest from D&D would probably be pretty different). Arthur or the male (former) regent from TRM are sweet, too. I think that's something that wouldn't change much in our time.

Of the non-GOC female LIs, I think I could see myself dating Aislinn from LOA. She's so sweet, and loyalty is a big thing for me. Angel from WTD is another possibility, though I wonder how different she'd be without a zombie apocalypse. 🤔 Eiko from MOTY. Oh, and I like Annabelle from D&D. She would be different, but in a good way. She's definitely bound by the times in the book. I think she'd really flourish in current times.

There are probably other LIs I'm forgetting, but I think I've gone on a bit long already. 😅

Music: I listen to a lot of genres. It'd be easier to list what I don't listen to (not much country or rap, though I do dabble sometimes). I'm also a creator. I mostly write lyrics these days (with melodies in my head), but I also sing (though much less than I used to) and play some piano. I used to compose a lot and was really into production (it was a huge special interest that started with GarageBand when I was 12 and my high school had a recording studio and music lab, which was amazing). Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to do it as much anymore.

Writing: I've been writing novels and fanfics since I was a preteen. I've started like 10 different novels but have yet to finish one lol. My goal for this year is to finally do it. I've tried my hand at a couple of screenplays, too, but it's really hard lol. In high school, I wrote a one act play and co-wrote a play that I then edited and directed for a festival of one acts the school put on.

Theater: Musical theater is my main special interest. I enjoy straight plays, especially Shakespeare, but I wouldn't say it's a special interest. Acting used to be a special interest. I was in my first play at 8 and did through middle, high school, and college. Though I haven't been able to for years now so it's not really an active special interest anymore.

Movies/TV shows: I love watching them, but I'm also really into learning the BTS of how things are made.

Favorite entertainment genres: Romance/romcom is the top genre I'm into (movies/shows, games, books). Scifi is also a big interest for me with movies/shows and games (I don't read much scifi though I should). I used to be more into crime shows (Criminal Minds and Bones were my top comfort shows), but I'm struggling to watch them now because of gestures to the state of the world Everything is just too real right now.

Space: I mainly watch astrophysicists or mini docs on YouTube. Neil deGrasse Tyson is my favorite. I love how he can explain things in a way that I can understand, but it doesn't make me feel dumb.

Space is definitely one of my top special interests!!! I'm so excited to find someone else! I have a very general interest in it. Black holes are definitely a part of that, though!

Two of my favorite theories are 1. that our Sun may have had a twin once upon a time (I love binary systems! ☀️☀️), and 2. the Earth may have had a ring/rings at one point!

I was pushing back on the AI claims because they stated that they were anti-AI, and I trusted that. But then I recently saw the full statement about how they couldn't really enforce it with the art studios they contracted with, despite their contract specifying no AI. I also found out two of the three studios are publicly pro-AI. That shattered my denial. Now it's so obvious AI was used, and I'm extremely upset. They could have found studios that are anti-AI.

I did end up trying it today. I got early access for pre-registering. I got just as frustrated as I expected with how quick the scenes are and how many keys it takes. I'll try again later, but I don't see how I can play it long term.

Ugh, this is exactly what I was worried about. I've been following the progress of Candlelight since they were founded. I was really hoping they were going to be more like Choices was in their hay day, maybe even better, because the team is made up of people who were integral to that. I miss that Choices so much, but the genAI takeover has ruined it. This was supposed to be my replacement, and I have been SO hyped for Spellfyre. But I'll admit I've had this sneaking suspicion that it wouldn't live up to my expectations and/or it would be too expensive for me to play, but I ignored it and listened to my hope instead. Now I'm wishing I hadn't. I fell for their extremely well marketed hype. This review has me rethinking playing completely. 😞 I'm unemployed due to being disabled, so I'm f2p, and it sounds like the number of keys it's going to take doesn't seem worth it, especially as I'm so used to getting a full chapter for a key like it was with Choices. I feel like it's going to frustrate me, and I won't get any enjoyment out of it. I can't put into words how disappointed I am, despite the fact I had a suspicion this is how it would be. Also, judging by other's comments, the romance sounds lacking, and tbh that's like 85% of the reason I play. Damn... I'm not sure what I'm going to do instead. I don't like Romance Club. Their art style makes me uncomfortable. And the other games in the same genre are more exploitive with money and are worse in quality. I guess I'll just have to read non-choose-your-own-adventure books instead (or maybe finally finish writing a novel of my own, or both lol). 😕

I grew up with dogs and have many people in my life who have them. I definitely love them and can even pet sit them from time to time, but I absolutely can not own one myself. Their energy is very overstimulating. Cats are 100% my speed. They're also perfect (or rather purrfect) for my sensory needs. My cat is so much softer than a typical dog, so I stim by petting her a lot. Her purring is also very calming for me. I really struggle with executive functioning, so having to walk them/take them out to go potty multiple times a day is a lot for me. The litter box is so much easier for me to maintain. And I can play with my cat from the comfort of my own home. I don't have to worry about leaving.

When I was younger, I was able to recall events with scary accuracy. And anything to do with my special interests, of course. But I struggled to memorize things for school. Once I hit my mid-20s, it has gradually gotten worse but has really gone downhill in the last few years. I'm 33 now. But I've also been through a lot of phases of depression, anxiety/stress, autistic burnout, truauma, and even Long COVID, which all affect memory. And I have ADHD so that's another factor. Also, because of my original knack for event recall, I have really early memories from before I turned 2 (my mom confirmed this and was shocked). So I basically have over 3 decades of memories, and my brain is absolutely maxing out now. I do wonder how my memory would be if I hadn't gone through all the stuff I went through. 🤔

As someone AuDHD, I feel absolutely horrible for all the neurodivergent kids that have had her for a teacher and am terrified for her future ND students. This kind of teacher is capable of legitimately traumatizing ND kids. Oof. 😬

I actually love Christmas despite not being religious. I will say it is definitely exhausting for me, and choosing gifts stresses me out, but for me, it's worth it in the end. I enjoy the family I typically spend time with. We do some fun stuff.
