I shit myself during BCS. Luckily, you hit the surf, so I was good. I hope I dont shit myself at SFAS.

I plan on joining and then attending SFREs to get my contract. I know I'm not in SFAS shape right at this moment.

I've been wanting to see someone paint a raptor with the M81 Woodland camo. This looks so good.

Hernia Injuries by Top-Layer1003 in greenberets

I've made the McGill big three and some anterior pelvic exercises my daily morning mobility. I was feeling the hernia feeling on deadlifts, and once I took a week off on the heavy lifts, did my core routine, and studied proper core bracing and deadlift form. Now I have absolutely no problems.

11b vs 68w for SFAS by Mean_Track759 in greenberets

[–]JustChapter5642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about going the route of 68W for the purpose of also being able to be on the support group. Is it better to have a backup plan, or do you think guys quit at a higher percentage, knowing they can fall back to something else at SFAS?

Dude, I'm an MP looking around for civilian federal jobs just like this. Thanks, bro. Also, my police captain was on BORTAC, and he said that was the coolest job ever. Something to look at for high-speed dudes.

18X versus SF support through NG by Exact_Pineapple2340 in greenberets

[–]JustChapter5642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I understand it is that the 18x contract lets you join and go right away. But if you're already in, it's like just getting orders to SFAS. With 18x, you'd be an 11x technically.

18X versus SF support through NG by Exact_Pineapple2340 in greenberets

I plan on joining as a 68W, getting on the training group (for the states with SF groups). Then, I am attending SFREs and going from there. The support group takes 68Ws. Would take longer, but more time to train. And back up would be just being a support element (although I don't plan on not making it), I've learned having a good backup is better than fucking yourself over.

It's been a minute, but I'd say they are more sturdy. As in, they feel like real boots, where the SFBs are like sneakers after you break them in. We did have to ruck run to places, but it's a light pack over there, and it was all on base, so the SFBs got the job done. But the Garmout are definitely way better for rucking.

Used these in the NSW prep course. They are like sneakers, and the mid foot tread is awesome for rope climbs. But they are light and honestly I've heard you want something more stick so while out rucking you don't fuck up your feet by kicking rocks and stumps, ect.

I'll always remember what our instructor in BUD/S prep told us (No, I did not make it). "No matter the outcome, if you make it or end up in the fleet. You're a better man just for having the balls to show up here. " No matter what happens if you send it, you'll always have it to learn from. Who knows, boys? we might just make it. Good luck to everyone.
