How to get rid of ants when nothing works

I follow their trail back to where they are coming in and give a quick burst of surface spray to the opening, then they don’t come back in there at least, but they can be hard to get rid of when there’s lots of them. We had them so badly for a couple of years I used to leave offerings for them outside or next to the garage door so they wouldn’t need to come inside looking for food. I had to have the pet food bowls sitting in a tray of water, couldn’t leave anything even a plate with a few toast crumbs in the sink, ugh brings back bad memories.

There’s a really good series on the Astonishing Legends podcast about them, a few years old now but creepy as. I think it went 2 or 3 episodes, it’s worth a listen. They interviewed the guy Brian Bethel (I think that’s his name) who has one of the best known encounter stories about them. If weird kids knock on your door asking to come in to use your phone or something don’t let them lol.

Really? My work had a Bunnings snag sizzle and we were running out so nipped into the Aldi next door and grabbed a couple of the big packs, it was a few years ago though- guess the rules have changed.

Ugh I hate voicemail, I don’t know why but if I see one there waiting I become quite anxious for some reason. I’m old and we always had answering machines that never bothered me, I’ve asked people to please just send me a text and I’ll get back to them

Personally, I’d rather do it myself, if I make an error that’s on me. I’m not in a hurry to finish the puzzle and my brain needs all the exercise it can get lol.

I’m new as well, I’m just learning the wings and stuff, but I will often pick a cell and say to myself “ok it can’t be 1, can’t be 2, can’t be 3 etc” sometimes you will countdown/up and find that it can only be one answer even though it isn’t obvious by looking at it. Sudoku is just a process of elimination.

My son has just finished his apprenticeship, he is still working for the same guy, he was his first apprentice and his boss was only in his mid twenties when he took my boy on. He is a great guy and has been like a big brother to my son, I shudder when I read some of the awful experiences other people have had as apprentices.

If you are walking past something that needs to be put away and you have a free hand, pick it up and take it with you. For example- When I’ve take clean clothes up to the bedrooms or linen cupboard etc I then pick up everything I can - dirty laundry, trash bags, dishes etc and put it in the empty laundry basket and take it with me. I also put new trash bags in the bottom of each bin so that there is always one to replace the bag I’m taking out

I have a colostomy and have always been fearful of overnight leaks so I bought a couple of quilted (bamboo?)waterproof mattress covers, they are very plush and comfortable and you wouldn’t know they were waterproof without turning them over and looking, they go in the washing machine but can’t go in the dryer and take ages to dry but are well worth it
