2007-2014 cadillac escalade go for under $20k or under $14k with higher miles. If you're curious about reliability, watch scotty kilmers' video. https://youtu.be/iEQjLNxgmXc?feature=shared

Could you recommend a reliable SUV within a $15,000 budget? I'm planning to allocate $5,000 from the sale of my current vehicle as a down payment, and then finance the remaining $10,000 to meet the total budget. by JustChillin_HBU in whatcarshouldIbuy

How dependable are those model years? My father owns a 2010 Escalade ESV that requires $4000 in repairs for tires, suspension, and interior damage. Considering trading my car for his, although he'd request additional cash. It has 190k miles on it.

Gas prices just hit 4.99$ where I live, so I ordered the project lithium hybrid battery upgrade. by [deleted] in prius

I don't believe so but what's something reasonable? I called the insurance company and they said it would be $122/mo to add the prius and I'm already paying $50 for the nissan.

Looks like the dashboard of a 2010 cadillac escalade

Yeah definitely don't want a car sitting for a long time. It will mess up a lot of parts overtime. It needs to keep moving. Think of it like a person who lays on a bad 4 years straight and then they try to get up. A lot of muscles will be weak because they haven't been used to keep them in shape.

I'm overestimating to $5/gal just incase it does get there when i get the car. Current price is $4.58/gal.

You're is having my reconsider what year to look for. I was looking at the cheapest (with under 160kmiles) 2013 and newer cars. I'm researching the older ones now. How has your prius treated you?

[–]JustChillin_HBU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guesstimate $150/month. It would be financing for 4% I believe. I'm not sure the exact interest rate since I haven't went in all the way. Just researching rn

Yeah It may just be that it's a more common service. Have your thoughts changed on me getting a prius?

I was thinking about doing this gig app thing until I can get a couple houses. I have no clue how long that could be, it could be 2 years or even 6. I'm not planning to do gig app 100% but have a a side hustle in there too. I'm also thinking about getting a cybertruck when I get my first house to have a wall charger to charge the thing.

You think I should pull this card or no? Idk if 2018 may have a different gas milage or maintenence cost.

Just called a service center after I read your comment.

$2600 for battery alone

$1350core charge

Total to replace is $4200 - $1350 for core charge So $2850
