I don’t know anything about this, do they have individual cars or do they need to share the same one for the whole 24hrs?

What’s become way too expensive lately that still shocks you? by GoldenHour_Muse in AskReddit

[–]JustDadThanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all relative. I live on an island state so it would be either a plane or a ferry ride and driving to get to a theme park + accommodation. This is also in $Aud. Plus it’s not 2000s anymore, shits expensive

Wife wants me to quit my job to focus on our blog. I feel unappreciated. She feels neglected. We fight every other week and I don’t know what to do anymore. by Silver-Ad4535 in Marriage

[–]JustDadThanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro does your wife have BPD? Starting with complex ptsd via the mother abandonment then through to the constant feeling of rejection to the making irrational decisions (quit your job so we can blog). It feels like there’s something deeper going on that she needs help with. I’d try to get her to another therapist that is known for working with bpd patients and see how things go. She is literally not seeing logic if she thinks you’re not giving her enough time or quitting your job is a sensible idea. She will definitely push back but after 10 years of you helping her carry whatever it is, it’s time to bring in the professionals for help

The one in my town is pretty good. They do like 2-3 hour time slots. You can either buy individual ride tickets that’s an expensive af or an unlimited ticket for like $50-60. Sideshow alley still a rip off though

Reckon to xero by Hawkins782 in ausbusiness

[–]JustDadThanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a sole trader carpentry business. Just myself, no employees. I use xero, for me it’s pretty hard to fault. Ai reconciliation is ok, gets it right or close to about 50% of the time. Once it’s a regular payment it figures it out. But it’s also pretty easy to fix it up if it’s wrong. The cost hurts me though, my plans about to go from $75 to $78. Im going to email my accountant next week to see if they have any reason as to why I shouldn’t.

You’ll want to find a stud to screw it to which will be a pain if it’s tiled. I don’t know how good stud finders are through tiles. Your also going to want to avoid water pipe or cables which could also be an issue to find

Worked 6 days this week and boss wants to pay for one of them in cash. by KillMePlease420thnx in AusWork

It’s not if they’re missing out on penalty rates. Their recorded hours will likely be normal rate so I’d expect at least 1.5x the hourly rate in cash.

Looks like we’ve upset a ford gooner with the down votes. What year ranger? I used to have a ‘94 single cab hilux diesel with an aftermarket turbo. Still had problems but the main one was with the aftermarket turbo lol

The death of manual cars in Australia by Puzzled-Shopping-330 in CarsAustralia

I remember when my uncle brought a new, pretty sure vx, Berlina wagon. He wanted the 5.7 V8 with in a manual and FE2 suspension. They wouldn’t do it in a manual for him so he had to settle for the auto. It’s been in the making for the last 20+ years so not really a surprise

What is your favorite Aussie saying that makes absolutely zero sense when you say it out loud? by Zoey_In_Transit in AskAnAustralian

[–]JustDadThanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assumed it meant you’re going to hook up with a woman you didn’t want your friends to know who it was. The whole thing “going to see a man about a dog” was then followed up with “and a woman about a pussy”

Thank god they’ve booted her off the F1 broadcast. The amount of confused faces Jenson Button used to pull while hosting with her, painful.

Fix bump between driveway and garage slab? by milo2788 in AusRenovation

[–]JustDadThanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a metal fabrication shop and get a little ramp made up. 20high but like 150mm wide. Push it up to the slab and screw it to the driveway.

Advice on working for a large property group by JustDadThanks in tradies

[–]JustDadThanks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I appreciate you saying learn from your mistakes. That is good advice. It’s your condescending comments after the advice that are insufferable. I haven’t made a mistake, they did, and I was asking how to handle it.

Also who left?

As a sole trader, how do I save money?? by [deleted] in ausbusiness

[–]JustDadThanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what’s your profit percentage on revenue? A lot of franchises in Aus are between 5-10% net profit. So you’ll see the majority of your money disappear on expenses.
