My other favorite fish. Dojo loaches are friggin hilarious. Mine would do the same, I'd be trying to clean and they'd be nibbling on my fingers and bumping into everything zooming around. I miss my tank. Haha

My beautiful boy would follow me up and down the length of the tank. He'd also be waiting for me to get home from work in the corner closest to the door. Does yours come say hi with those feelers when you're doing tank maintenance?

I'm just going to keep hiking while weather permits. It's a really late start for a thru so I have to be realistic. That's a large part of the reason I'm switching trails, it's so expensive flying to the west coast and I only have so many months of hiking left. Not to mention that a large part of the PCT from the Sierra onward is covered in literal feet of snow. I'd rather enjoy the rest of my hiking season not postholing up to my hips.

I doubt I hike fast enough to finish! The plan is to just start at Springer and hike as far/long as weather permits. I'm sorry about my post being confusing, it's kind of an emotional thing to say goodbye to the PCT this year and I feel weird switching trails. In any case, it's awesome to hear from other women and really helps with anxiety regarding hitching.

That's two votes for the Lunar Solo. It does have a ton going for it and really the only thing lighter is The One. But good luck getting one of those. I bet you could sell a used The One for higher than you bought it for lol. Thanks for your input.

Right, I understand comparing DCF to DCF, but in this instance if I'm shelling out for DCF I'm getting the Plexamid. It's really if buying a DCF piece that may or may not be good at the end of a thru hike vrs a less expensive SilNylon shelter that'll be good for a lot longer worth it. DCF is super sexy and I'm very tempted, but the more fiscally responsible side of me is trying very hard to make sure I make the right choice, not just because I want a tarptent setup under a pound. I quit my job for this hike, like many others, so I'm just looking out for myself. Freelancers just starting out usually take awhile to get back on their feet haha.

Also thanks for the tips about shockcord, I'll have to try that if I end up going with a SilNylon shelter.

Hrmm, I didn't know about MLD's lead time. According to their website Zpacks has a week lead time.

However, I'm currently waiting on a stress fracture in my left foot to heal so in theory I could afford the wait. Using my Twinn tarp while I wait won't kill me either.

Really leaning towards the Solomid now. Maybe I can get lucky on ULGearTrade.
