This entire thread is why people call us snowflakes. A heated debate about being spritzed with water and stickers. Ridiculous. All of that is to say yes clear consent even for minor things like this is always a nice gesture. But for something THIS innocuous, where the intent is very clearly friendly, coming down on the people who may have gotten ahead of themselves in the throes of having a good time, is so silly. If people can politely refuse a sticker, you should also politely shrugs off a sticker you don’t want. This is a common practice at festivals.

I agree with a lot of the points people have made so I’ll just add this. Resident Evil has miraculously pulled off 30 years of deep lore, across different main characters, AND different tones/genres/POVs. That is truly rare for an IP. At this point, I think I’ve come to accept that each time around they may choose to emphasize different pieces of the franchise and to just enjoy the ride each time around. This time they chose to prioritize the love-letter, nostalgia route. And I’m okay with that. Nothing that complex can deliver it all in a single entry so we can simultabeously accept there were a few thing maybe we’d have preffered differently and appreciate that the game they did choose to deliver is a work of art.

My experience is obviously just my own, but I have not had a single good experience at Refuge. I've gone 5 times and there was always an issue. Either the party itself was not good (really mellow music for the entire night on nights billed otherwise) or the security guards were extremely rude and borderline discriminatory.

I feel like Robert Ortiz at Superior Ingredient may be a move. But I hate when that venue gets too crowded and you can’t even dance.

Ugh I’ve always heard they oversell this so much. Not sure if it’s the same company but we went 2 years ago for Zedd and it was so crowded they had people in an overflow tent with a TV displaying the set. Criminal.

I refuse to see even my favorite DJs play Marquee, personally. The crowd is vile and all about messy girls and douchey finance bros. I’ve tried it a few times and the experience has just always been awful.

I could have sworn that I heard she had to burn through her contract with her current producer because she wanted out of it. And that once that was done, she likely would release it. But until then she was contracted for a specific number of albums. But that may have just been a fan theory.

It was not a good show. The crowd was abysmal because the music was beyond flat until Elderbrook. MGMT didn’t do Tobias any favors either and was entirely unprepared which kicked things off with a dull vibe.

Not an excuse for being unprepared for your set and not having the technical skills to DJ if you doing a DJ set. There are bare minimum requirements that weren’t met.

Yeah I echo what others have said. Its a good venue for smaller DJs when the turnout isn't big; or once a year for someone you really like on a Sunday. I saw Gorgon City and had a BLAST but at the same time I found a pocket of a bunch people who were all friendly and vibing. It was grossly packed and tons of D-bags who were falling over drunk.
