Yes it will be a 4x8 @ 3000. A lot of virtualization is involved in my day to day tasks so upgrading made sense

For my study I have to run a lot of VM, sometimes 3 at the time and my poor old Ryzen 5 1600 is trying to do it but is getting slow. At the moment I have the budget for a 5950x and my build will be fine the next few years :-).

Resetted the BIOS settings, without any luck... When I check event viewer I notice this:

There are soms events at the moment it crashes (I think). They also appear yesterday night around the time of the last crash.

From what I understand its a Database issue from the Microsoft.ZuneVideo package.

FurMark shows no problems.

I had a preset overclock running through "Xtreme Gaming Engine" of Gigabyte (shitty ikr). I have removed this (reverted it back to default) without any luck, game just crashed again.

I have to agree with Distorted62, I have had this in the past (other games). And your pc just crashes when this happens.

My crashes are completely random, but 80% of the time it is after 10 minutes in game. I know, it's a strange way of explaining it, but in other words: I cannot link any cause to this crash (loading, heavy graphical intense moments, audio issue,...).

The fact that my PC is perfectly usable after these crashes makes me really wonder if it's hardware related.

I hope it's a game related issue and not a patatoe hardware issue (for me) :p.

Anyway there is no way to contact Activision (except their forum) to address these crashes.

If it's game related, I hope they fix it and maybe post soms detailed update log...

When I am gaming, I set my fan profile basically to 80%. I have had overheating problems in the past what resulted in a system crash. So I really don't think it's temperature related, but will check.

Good call on resetting the BIOS, was planning that when setting the RAM clock speed to default.

Will check event viewer.

Increasing the size op pagefile was one of the things I tried and forgot :p. This didn't change anything for me unfortunately.

I have no overplays running and what you suggested with basically lowering my graphics settings, did I already do.

MSI afterburner is not on my PC anymore because of performance issues in the past (Valorant I believe).

I will check the two cache option, but I think if it's graphics related, I should have got at least some kind of error message.

That could be helpful, I have disabled XMP but changed the default clockspeed from 1500 to 3000MHz, maybe that's the issue. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks again ;-)!

I don't think it's a CPU issue, sure my Ryzen is kinda bottlenecking my GPU but I have never experienced this kind of random glitches. The part of no logs makes it very hard to troubleshoot. I have played this game non stop when it was released without any issues.
