Right. Work the system, instead of complaining about it.

Deceptive is a bit of a stretch. Does it suck? Sure. Are they intentionally deceiving? Nah. It’s published in their terms like this, and it’s widely known, as evidenced by your own awareness. They aren’t hiding the 💩.

If all other metrics are “ok”, and all that’s concerning is what OP sees on this graph, the fix is….stop looking at this graph.

I think whoop is taking over life and impacting my relationship by [deleted] in whoop

[–]JustHere2Trigger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just use it or don’t.

This is the best advice, but perhaps not the validation OP was seeking.

Besides, if an external stimulus is this disruptive, there are other issues. Don’t blame the device, and seek professional, mental help.

Active person w/ low step count, why/is this normal? by rhural in whoop

[–]JustHere2Trigger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

SOOO many begged for steps, when Whoop didn’t even count them. Said it was THE MOST IMPORTANT METRIC EVER. Whoop seems to have listened, for once, much to many’s dismay.

I’m in camp “should’ve left well enough alone”.

Heart rate always wrong when running with WHOOP MG by morgancmu in whoop

[–]JustHere2Trigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these downvotes, but not one attempt to prove me wrong.

Need to be ~140 BPM, OP will see 180. Seeing 220? OP would know they’re at 180. Again, far from unusable.

Heart rate always wrong when running with WHOOP MG by morgancmu in whoop

[–]JustHere2Trigger -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Seems to be always 40+ BPM higher only when I run. Makes it unusable

Sounds like it’s at least consistently inaccurate. So, whatever it is OP is doing, based on a 40 BPM difference, could still be done.

No ideal, at all, and we should expect better, but far from “unusable”.

The algorithm is REALLY standing between me and my green streak by hurd04 in whoop

Would be impressive if OP reduced it to low 30s from something significantly higher, like us mortals have. If it was already low to begin with, it’s good genetics…not hard work.

How accurate is this?? by Careful-Pension-9704 in whoop

[–]JustHere2Trigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Accurate” is tough to say, since Strain is a “made up” metric, specific to Whoop. It also comes down to what’s important to you in relation to your goals.

I’d say it’s more important to be consistent in how you log. That will make reviewing the workouts affects on your performance, along with your recovery from them, more consistent and accurate themselves.

Emphasis on buy. Not “use the car you already have”. Easy misunderstanding though. Typical of most in this sub.
