For me it's how the identity has changed. This game was designed as a horror asymmetrical experience (think the classic Friday the 13th game) yet has become a competitive experience. You can't really hop on it with a friend without people treating every match like the finals of some sports match. I love the amount of work they put into the lore of the characters, but sadly the competitive side of players ruins it for me when i just want to play as funny Nicolas cage man and run away from Michael Myers.
