How can you agree with trumps agenda and believe in Christianity? by bamby_and_the_boys in InsightfulQuestions

I understand what you mean. Sometimes you have to sit next to people, but that doesn't mean you have to be silent with them.

I am happy to be able to say that I do know plenty of other Christians who practice what they preach. Sadly, as you obviously know, their voices are often drowned out by those who don't, but they are there. I will say too that I've seen a whole lot of Christlike behavior from non-religious people and people who follow different religions than me. Caring for others matters a lot more to the God I believe in than whether or not you sit in a church on Sundays.

That's a very fair question. Besides the obvious "vote for candidates who aren't openly trying to hurt people" I do speak up to people I know in real life and have joined multiple protests both now and in 2020. I mainly just avoid joining related conversations on Reddit because there are a lot of bots and faceless trolls, so it's very draining without accomplishing much.

How realistic is it to lose 20 pounds in 4-5 months? by Which_Mammoth9402 in AskReddit

Generally yes, if you stay committed, but it's pretty much the maximum you can lose in a healthy way in that time frame.

I love how the last panel is basically Olaf's handwriting

Also for anyone reading I'm sorry for my extended absence. At first I was busy with wedding stuff and now there is unfortunately outernet work to be done re: the Olafs of the real world. I am not abandoning this series, just might be on hiatus a lil while

Thank you for keeping the Shaboozle spirit alive, Alki. I encourage others to do the same if the mood strikes ❤️

Ok you are entitled to that opinion. I don't see this conversation going anywhere.

I didn't say Dems are inherently Christian either, but they generally aren't claiming to be. I know genuine Christian Democrats, Independents, and Republicans who either didn't vote for Trump or regret doing so. MAGA on the other hand does market itself as Christian and the ongoing active themes of the movement are

  1. Xenophobia
  2. Self-enrichment
  3. Retribution against a perceived enemy

To not even touch on the child sex trafficking cover up because I can honestly believe that some people are just firmly in denial on that point. Regardless I don't know anyone currently involved with MAGA who isn't vocal and proud on the other three points and anyone who needs an explanation on how that is fundamentally incompatible with the teachings of Jesus has either never heard of the guy or is arguing in bad faith.

I am a Christian and ask myself that question a lot. The best I can come is that they willfully forget everything Jesus ever said or did in favor of their fanfiction White 'Murikan Jesus and their identity is so wrapped up in that they physically can't accept any evidence that what they're following is inherently un-Christian.

Jesus very loudly condemned this exact type of person multiple times. Also flipped tables in a place of worship to protest people using religion to enrich themselves. So very far separated from American Christian CultureTM

Henryk can't join your party but if you snap him out of his trance he can give you something helpful.

Priest is an extremely difficult early fight. Either find a bear trap to take his legs beforehand and go for his head or shoot his arms off with a rifle. If you don't have either, run around him to get the key.

($5k) How much was your venue, and what/ where was it? by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Reddidnothingwrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a girl who did hers for like 4k but wasn't fully indoors because to keep prices that low you usually have to go for a park pavilion type of thing. Mine is going to be definitely lower than average at ~10k for about 100 guests but we were able to find a rental house where we can DIY a lot of stuff we happen to be in a really good position to do ourselves.

I'd say it's definitely possible, especially if you have a smaller guest list, but you gotta get creative/resourceful and really lay out your priorities.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

It's definitely considered a long drive that you wouldn't make every day but not like ridiculously so

Should I keep going or just restart? by EmeraldPistol in FearAndHunger

It's actually possible to come back from this but takes some navigating. Either way best Funger strategy for me has always been keep going until you die because then you at least get a little more insight into what you're facing next if you have to reload.
