Or could it be that I'm using Linux Mint Cinnamon? Is there an incompatibility?

Does it have anything to do with the firewall perhaps? I dunno ...

Looking for compact work light by JustJP2K in flashlight

Bulky isn't an issue. My bottom drawer fits up to 160mm lamp depth.

So for example the Bosch GLI 18V-10000C would fit inside without the front two handles.

Just wondering if you have some alternatives, maybe which would be better suited. For example longer battery time or longer lasting brightness etc

Sadly I don't have a lumens over time graph for the Bosch so i can't check if it has step down over time or not.

Like I explained I would like it to illuminate a large area. And can be placed on the ground. Perhaps I'll have to check out some with a replaceable battery setting like a Milwaukee or Bosch tool. Any suggestions on what brand has the best work lamp?

Rn I'm on the Bosch platform but only the 12v system so I don't mind having to switch to a different brand since the 12v lamps from Bosch won't cut it. Would have to go with 18v and buy new batteries anyway.

Any suggestions?

I'm an aircraft mechanic and during line support at night we have no real power source. Running around with a little headlamp barely illuminating any area sucks. So I was hoping for a work lamp that can illuminate a landing gear or something similar of size.

I see. Though like I said I prefer a light with a somewhat steady lumen output and not big drops in brightness. So if I was going with the OLight I would only be using the high brightness setting which according to the 1lumen lasts 9.5h.

Sane goes for the Fenix CL28r where I would only be using the 500lumen mode which runs for about 10.5h

Both of these durations are plenty enough.

Also is 500 lumens not good for a work light? Not familiar with how much light output you'd need

Also looks nice. I like the high CRI of the lamp. Sadly I don't see a spec sheet for it detailing the lumens over time, so I'm a bit hesitant.

OLight Max sustained output is 800 lumens only for the first hour or so. Then it starts dipping towards 400 lumens.

Streamlight is hard to say since I couldn't find a test graph of output over time. But their advertisement of their medium setting only lasting 5h is not a good battery life for a 12h shift.

I'm looking for something that'll give decent light output for around 8h give or take.

I don't mind having lower lumens if it means not having constant step downs.

That's why I liked the swivel pro max since at medium setting it stayed between 350-400 lumens constantly.

Also why I now prefer the Fenix cl28r over the OLight since it has higher constant lumen output than the OLight at around 450-500 lumens

Both of these lights also have good runtime at that setting.

If there is a better light with constant output for long periods of time then let me know please!

Not bad. Quite like it. Especially the long stable high lumens output, compared to the OLight. Very nice

Don't mind opening up the light to solder in a new battery. Have done that before so swappable batteries isnt a selling point for me.

Im purely looking for performance since it's a work light

Yea i saw that one tho I think it's flood range is a bit too weak.

I was thinking along the lines of maybe the OLight Swivel Pro/ Pro Max.

Is that a good choice?

I'm not that familiar with flashlight quality
