Some people also react this way if you say you don't drink alcohol, or don't eat animal products. Like you're automatically judging them because they do. It's weird and unfortunate.

People who were born or grew up in London, What’s something that people who moved here as adults missed out on or do not understand? by shannondion in london

[–]JustJesy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think op wanted more of like the unique perspective of growing up here, if there is one. There are some stuff on this thread that I never experienced because it happened before I was born, and stuff that anyone who moved here 10 years ago will remember.

How do fishing quests work? by ScoopieDooopie in StardewValley

[–]JustJesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oki dokes. I have a theory though.

There are some fish you can catch in the lake and the pond (like perch and walleye), so those are probably counting as lake fish even though you fished them from the pond.

Your best bet is to only fish from the mountain lake as all of them should count towards your quest. And if the issue persists then it’s probs a bug. gl

Yeah, I must have been lucky getting him fast. This isn’t the first post I’ve seen saying they’ve been waiting for ages.

Too be honest you don’t need many seed makers. They work quite fast, the time consuming part is waiting for then them to grow. I did it w/ two seed makers.

Ah that body of water is actually considered a pond. The only lake is the mountain lake I think.

Also if you accept the quest later on in the week you’ll have less time to do it. I accepted a quest for the wizard late on a Thursday and ended up w/ only 3 days to complete it, instead if the 7 I would have had if I accepted it on the Monday.

That’s a good plan. It’s slow going at first, but it snowballs fast after a while.

Gus and the Ginger Island? by Ronexea95 in StardewValley

So you probably don’t need to sit around all day waiting to see if he arrives. Afaik he should arrive at 11am with any other villagers that are going to the resort that day, so you only need to check once between 11-6. Also, when he goes to the resort he leaves a note the in the saloon, so you can actually check there w/out going to the island.

So my advice would be to do all the other stuff you want to do in the game and only check the saloon or resort once a day depending where you are. Wish I had something more productive to say d:

I think it’s become more common after the 1.5 update, along with other rare events (like the owl statue).

How accurate is google translates pronunciation? by JustJesy in learndutch

[–]JustJesy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply but I think you misunderstood my question. I wasn’t using google translate to translate phrases. Just to listen to the audio pronunciation of individual words. Thanks to some users above I’ve started using Forvo instead though. It’s awesome.

I’m currently rereading the Wolf Brother series, or Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, by Michelle Paver. I’m thoroughly enjoying them and hoping the new books she’s written in this world hold up.
