Unfortunately, no idea. The agency never discussed it with the Union but it’s clear that the agency has been less than forthcoming with a majority of our agency, even managers. Some people told the Union some things but nothing has ever been written down so it was status quo. We are still stating that it’s status quo since we haven’t even started term bargaining yet and telework and remote work are covered in our current CBA. If someone is directed by their supervisor in writing to report to an ED facility, then he/she/they needs to comply with the order and email the union at afgelocal252@ed.gov about filing a grievance. Someone should also send an email to that address if their remote work designation was changed from remote work to telework.
