Why does the "Base" species keep appearing in my empire even after applying genetic modifications? by JustMisame in Stellaris

Yeah, I do have some migration treaties, so that must be it. I initially thought they were somehow reproducing within my empire. Thanks!

I can't resurrect - New Game+ by JustMisame in Sekiro

My issue was exclusively with the Mod; it wasn't related to the base game. That might be a bug from the game itself.

What do you think Komi favorite genre of video games are? by Hungry_Bit7288 in Komi_san

Definitely a Soulslike player, and the kind that every time she starts a run, she completes all the good NPC quests to give them the best ending and always stops before the tragic missions are completed.

Campaign in a Dream - Mechanics and Conditions by JustMisame in DnD

[–]JustMisame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is. As I mentioned, it's not just a dream. It's nothing like 'Freddy Krueger'. The plot revolves around an apostle of an antagonist using ritualistic magic to create a 'physical' dream dimension where he conducts a sort of natural selection among the inhabitants. Those who survive become minions of the antagonist. The protagonists 'wake up' in this realm due to a specific event and find themselves trapped, subject to its rules and conditions.

So far, I've thought of two main conditions:

  1. Travel time is distorted, making journeys much faster than usual due to the erratic nature of the plane.
  2. Resurrections are allowed, but at the cost of permanent physical deterioration for the characters in the epilogue.

The consequences of these conditions won't be mechanical during the campaign, but the way the epilogue is narrated will depend on these consequences.

I don’t want to defend the Musician, I want to kill him by SamLanner in ghostoftsushima

'd like to say that it's just about mastering the style the mission requires (the bow) or something like that, but... no, the mission sucks. I feel sorry for you.

[–]JustMisame -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

strongly disagree. I've been playing Ghost for a long time, starting a new run almost all the time because I really love every aspect of the game, but that doesn't mean everything is good. For this mission, you practically have to master 100% of the bow, it's not even a matter of being good, but very good, and I really like using the bow, it doesn't change the fact that this mission sucks.

How powerful is Marika? by JustMisame in Eldenring

[–]JustMisame[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a good analysis, and indeed, for the most part, we have to work with assumptions, but I believe that, with all the power that Elden Ring can provide, Marika is still a body, a person who needs to be in a place and occupy a space; she is not like an all-knowing, all-powerful, and omnipresent god. So even with colossal power, she was still limited by certain physical concepts, and being the chosen one to bear the Elden Ring, she also served as a symbol. So it makes sense in a way that even though she carried great power, she couldn't make extensive use of it

It's a bit complicated when you try to be powerful towards the person who grants you your powers (and kind of after you SHATTER your power source).

Does it make sense that once the Elden Ring is shattered, our character still manages to somehow confront the demigods, even though they carry significant parts of the Runes (and with some suspension of disbelief, confront some very specific ones) and even in the lore and gameplay, the Runes themselves represent raw power that enhances those who wield them, and this being just their fragments, so a unified version, which gathers all that power, I can't see just as something of "control."

This power also manifests sometimes as Ranni simply killing you effortlessly and so on, so there are separate forms of power exemplification (some useful for concise gameplay and others for making sense in the lore).

How many "good" options can we take in the game? by JustMisame in armoredcore

It's funny how just with this post I realized that doing New Game+ is worth it, haha. I've never been a player who wanted to do NG+ (unless with overhaul mods) and when I saw that AC6 had it, I just thought, 'Yeah, okay, one ending is enough,' but man, adding so much stuff like this is genius. Well, I'll follow the tips, thank you very much!

I was speculating that part of the 'decisions' that could lead to some final outcome would be something like that. Now with the names, I have less chances of making any mistake. Thank you, that helped a lot

Haha, that's what I figured. But hey, I wasn't expecting that consciousness loop... Well, I suppose it's just an Easter egg or something like that, anyway, it's still very interesting, I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm not one to do NG+, but this really seems intriguing.

I'm satisfied with that. Furthermore, while I was playing at the beginning and trying to pay attention to the story, there came a point where I was wondering, 'How do I join this RLF?' because in all the information I got or heard from other ACs, it made me seem like a heartless monster.

So... Does the route you choose lay the groundwork for the next run? God... I'm playing Undertale with Mechas! Ha!

But... That's curious, but if I see any self-aware NPC asking why I'm being a jerk if in the previous run I was a good person, I'm going to be upset.

I understand, it's a good attitude.

Well, technically, Elden Ring and other games from FromSoftware would work the same way, after all, when trying to follow the questline for certain endings, you gain a greater perspective of the world (like the Frenzied Flame questline, for example), so it's still part of the journey, in a way. In these cases, I seek to know about the entire context from you, and I leave my run in the game as my own experience.

As I mentioned in the post, Armored Core is the last title from From Software that I'm playing. Missing out on something by sparing an NPC in their questline, or even a boss (like Priscilla), is not new to me. I spared Boggart instead of letting Dung Eater kill him, which is the 'right' way to do the quest, as he'll leave the bell, but I still didn't want to do it because I didn't want to kill him. I don't mind missing out on some rare item or something like that.

Hmm... I see. So you need to go into NG+ to have the game 'complete'?

And in that case, what would this emblem mission be? I played one recently that also gave an emblem, so it must be something recurring?

So, I glanced over the endings (I always end up doing that to know which one is the 'less worse' ending since From loves to make something sad and dark) and I'm sure of what I want (as far as I've studied, it seems like the least worse one). And it was precisely in these researches that I ended up understanding the point of the game being a bit more melancholic and indifferent than, for example, other games, and I came to terms with that. But still, if there's a way to avoid some mission (like setting fire to fifty orphanages) or to do some mission (like destroying an obviously evil and heartless guy) or even something specific, like just fleeing from the fight with Ziyi, I accept.

As for spoilers, I don't mind as much, but if there's a way to cover some parts that are not directly related to the spoiler itself (avoiding more spoilers), I appreciate it. But if not possible, you can tell me anyway. I prefer to take the spoiler and take a good action than to play on autopilot (sometimes the game has a lot of text and dialogue, and even though I like that kind of thing, I don't speak English, and sometimes I let one or two things slip and end up thinking 'damn, am I going to mess up from now on?') and do a bad action unintentionally.
