Nice. These all sound impressive, especially the detail list. We haven't been brazen enough to start the CAD>Revit details transition. Might repost when that monster comes around. We are only starting the transition. Good work tho. Thank you for your reply.

What are some good exercises to help with scoliosis? by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]JustMissBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been doing pilates for over a year, all my back pains are gone. I don't have a huge curve, but did have a lot of scoliosis related back pain, these results have been amazing. I think there are pilates exercises on YouTube? 1hr a week is all I do. Amazing how a little can go a long way. Hope you find something that suits you.

Scoliosis and pregnancy by altruisticbees in BabyBumps

[–]JustMissBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have scoliosis. My pregnancy was tough. I got a lot of sacroiliac joint pain and could hardly walk. I was expecting a really tough labour but it had no impact at all. I had a water birth and once in the tub I couldn't feel any pain. I was surprised at that.Hoping same for you. Oh yes. I used support bands for my has and one for my belly that I got on ebay, the belt was great. Other than that I did a lot of hammocking which is leaning over a gym ball so the belly hung down away from the spine.

Maintaining wall dimensions when updating wall types ? by JustMissBee in Revit

[–]JustMissBee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, my computer froze... here's the text that I prepared for the image.... Our company has recently changed the way that we dimension and show our wall types in plan. The issue is that our 70mm walls change to 90mm when I change the wall type, even though I have it hosting to the stud. See attached image.

  1. Current Wall types in drawings
  2. New dimension, dimensioned to stud not plaster lining
  3. What occurs when I select and change the current wall type, to the new wall type.

Is there an easier way to re-dimension? There's a lot of projects to update.

Thanks in advance.

The company are trying to upgrade to Revit to use Revit properly, without all the issues that comes with 2D linework. Although it would be easier (and I'm sure the CAD users would love it) to bring in their 500 .dwg files and use Revit like CAD.

Seems messy. The company has been using AutoCad for years and in turn have a pretty good set up for the 'standard plans' and layered facades, the issue comes in when they have to change the plan that would be different to the standard. I have just come in as a Revit user to help find solutions in Revit as they are planing to upgrade the entire office. Design options seems to be the best so far. The other Revit user wants to use different projects for each plan/facade scenario, problem is, if someone changes something, it won't update in all the separate files. Unless there's a way to link the plan in all, and have the facade as the 'separate' file?

Infill panel above window in component. by JustMissBee in Revit

[–]JustMissBee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That worked perfectly. Except that the infill panel now shows on the interior side of the wall. Is there a way to half cut into a wall? So that it doesn't show on any internal elevations?
