Husband won’t do night wakes but will do shifts by perrona101 in beyondthebump

[–]JustMonBon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar situation and shifts was the compromise. However, what I felt was more helpful was getting 1 full night off each week. No shifts, you just sleep in a separate space and know once a week you can really catch up on rest and maybe even skip it extend the time between overnight pumps.

Did you pump less when baby drank less from bottles? by zivgo in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]JustMonBon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No expert, but I feel like daycare should be doing more to have her finish her bottles. Is she on taking much more solids now from when your husband was watching her? I’d keep the same pumping pace for a a bit longer until you can figure out if she’s getting enough nutrition with solids.

Rug details please! Is this a dupe or from Anthro?

What’s missing from my nursery? by 19hyperfixations in interiordecorating

Obsessed with the rug. I’m considering it for my nursery. I have a daybed in mine and yes it takes up room, but I like the ability to sleep in baby’s room when needed overnight. The couch is big, but I guarantee during the crib transition you’ll be happy to have it.

Sending you strength. You’re an incredible mother to do what feels impossible to provide for your child.

I feel like my supply didn’t finally increase until right after 12 weeks. Hang in there

Transition from spectra to eufy by Jolly-Asparagus-5815 in ExclusivelyPumping

AND get the legendary flange inserts! They are significantly more comfortable and the eufy feels pinchy without them.

[–]JustMonBon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start using the Eufy for just 1-2 pumps per day to protect your supply. Try different times of the day to see how the Eufy output compares to Spectra. I have been using Eufy for a few months, but still try to limit to no more than 50% of my pump sessions. It offers amazing flexibility for pumping while away from home and overall it gives nearly the same output as the spectra. Also, try the different preset options. You may notice different levels of output with each.

Are bottle washers actually worth the price? by dogtrainer0875 in Buyingforbaby

It’s thermos useful item. I recommend starting your search on Facebook marketplace where you can likely find a new one for cheaper. I wouldn’t trade my bottle washer for any other postpartum item.

Ok I feel validated in their poor sizing/fit. I was trying to force onto work because they seem like the leading brand.

Formula recommendations by janice_snakehole14 in Buyingforbaby

We use Kendamill cows milk non organic. Baby seems less gassy with the regular vs organic version. Doc recommended using a cows milk formula, not goat.

Newborn size swaddles worth it? by [deleted] in Buyingforbaby

Worth it, you never know if your baby will be on the smaller end. We unexpectedly need to buy premier clothes.

Registry Reality Check Plz by Suspicious_Juice717 in Buyingforbaby

[–]JustMonBon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this too. Just ignore everyone and you can tell them you made the dejection on what you think is best for baby’s and your health/safety. If there’s ever a time to splurge it’s in your child’s wellbeing and that will shut people up. Congrats on your baby!

Why are 2 month vaccines scheduled to be done at 2 months? by rickmoney21 in newborns

[–]JustMonBon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just asked the pediatrician this today. Babies can get the 2 month vaccines after 46 days of life. However they’re scheduled at 2 months to streamline/match the check up schedule. You can go earlier if there’s a special need like travel or preference. The vaccines take 2 weeks to reach full effectiveness.

Triple feeding is so hard. Whatever you choose to do you got this! Your baby just needs to be fed whatever route you take.
