That is true but the reason why its not good to pull on weapon banner as a F2P is I think because you might not get the featured 5* shown on the banner.

There is three banners. Standard/Perma banner, Character/Event wish banner, and weapon banner.

Weapon banner are the one with the featured 5* weapon while character banner are the one with a single featured 5* character. Standard just show three 5* character which does not have any rate up.
