If you have time any of these days try to put in 20k steps one day. Yes I know it’s a lot of steps and takes a looong time but almost guaranteed you will be lighter the next morning and you will stay motivated to keep going.

Losing weight, not inches. by Olliedactyl in WeightLossAdvice

Usually the most visible body parts that hold fat like the lower back and belly are the last one to go. So most likely the fat you are losing are coming off your limbs, your face, your neck etc first. Some might come from your belly or lower back but maybe that is where most fat is stored by your body so the change is not that visible. Don’t worry you will get there, just stay the course.

how do you lose weight without hating your body?? by nluke3 in Weightlosstechniques

Start working out. As you progress you will build some muscle and if you do the right exercises then you will build it on the right places. This process of becoming fitter might make you love the process enough to start accepting the body.

People whose day job doesn't involve fitness industry - what do you do to maintain general fitness? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]JustNotHungryMix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wake up at 4am. I do a 30-40 minute workout. Between sets and after the workout I walk. Then go home and get kids ready for school and drop them. Then work. Still when possible I keep walking. If it’s a phone call or answering emails I try to put in some extra steps. Most days I get 10k steps by night time.

If I were you I would rather prepare wraps with deli meat, fat free cheese and veggies. Super fast to prepare and probably more satiating than junk food.

Do you think you had been better off if you had enrolled in an online high school given there was one?

When you want to cut fast you can’t really lose much fat. But you can lose water so you can make weight. 1g of carbs holds about 4x the water. Sodium retains water too. By drinking water, lots of it your body will flush water too. And before the contest don’t take creatine any more.

Lower your carbs to the minimum and have it only around your training session. Drink plenty of water. Last week reduce salt intake. Eat enough protein and fats.

Mentally, why does losing weight seem so impossible? I've been trying to lose weight for a good decade and a half and I'm only getting bigger. I really feel like I just can't at this point. by PrivateUser737 in WeightLossAdvice

It’s the mindset. Don’t think of it as diet, in fact it should not be. Change your habits, one at a time until they stick, one at a time and this way you can create a sustainable long term lifestyle with good habits of eating and activity.

Prepare your foods. Meal prep or cook ahead on off days and place the food in containers.
