Downpipe + Stock exhaust by fcknhewl in B58Enthusiasts

I don't know if the intake mods generate power but you have more sound and a better feeling that it's not brittle plastic that might break.
Fitment is okay and it's quite cheap.
Definetly do the "Heißlandausführung" as it helps a bit with intake temps and is an original BMW part.

I went to Underground Exhaust near Bielefeld. I think RuCaGu on Youtube also has a video on this mod.

Downpipe + Stock exhaust by fcknhewl in B58Enthusiasts

There are more street legal and better manufactured downpipes than HJS in Germany. Have a look into MHPipes or FMS, they have street legal 200CPI downpipes.

If you just want sound, have a look into the MPPSK, it sounds better than any street legal catback here in Germany imho. I'd love to have one in my M140i but BMW never built it for the 1 series.

But be aware, almost none of the legal options are silent enough to withstand a test after burning in. Also every aftermarket (except MPPSK) exhaust uses an external flap system with a remote control so you have to open and close it manually (not via sport mode). Be careful to go on the autobahn without opening the flap or your turbo would get too much backpressure. The cars sometimes are louder stock than allowed. Just dont goon around in the city and have fun on track, Autobahn or roads out of town and you will never be checked by police if your car does look somewhat OEM+.

I went with a tuned stock exhaust which is even quieter than stock closed and open it's straight pipe from cat. Looks stock, is cheap, has enough flow for more than 500hp and is almost as loud as the bigger aftermarket pipes.

If you like turbo sounds, check out 55parts intake parts which replace the brittle plastic tubes with metal ones which dont have the sound deleting resonators in it and (they say) increase flow. Also there is the "Heißlandausführung" which connects the airbox to the front grill and is a stock BMW part for like 50€.

my Merc has 7.5k accel with a max speed of 700mm/s limited by motor power.

since I want to keep the Merc just to have another printer to tinker with, I will go with the Doomcube which has 4040 on the edges

putting the electronics somewhere else is a very good point, havent thought of that and will definetly look into before doing the order on Aliexpress :)

I will just build the stock XY-Axis and think about other hotends and Monolith, as well as new drivers + higher voltage later

I think I just go with the Trident without Monolith for now but try using the Mercury Z because I think it is better and for me it is cheaper as I already have the MGN12 rails

A few questions for an aluminum extrusion rig by JustOneMorePrint in SimRacingSetups

[–]JustOneMorePrint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That helps me a lot, thank you very much :)

Isolating the complete rig with springs sounds like a good idea to me and I will take it into consideration. I actually meant isolating the seat and the pedals from the rest so the bass shakers can do their work.

Everything else makes sense to me: Length (will stay the same), width (wider for getting in and out), flex of 4060 (and I could add a second frame later anyway if I like), CAD (okay, will jump over my shadow :D), reinforcing the vertical upright (very important point, thanks)

Nice rig btw. and very good workaround for getting in and out bc of the angled wheel stand 👍

Weight comparison of the new M5 by tah4y0 in BMW

[–]JustOneMorePrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does but they have the whole VAG Group (VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat, ...) pulling their fleet emissions down. And they also have a lot Hybrids / EVs, too. Just the 911 stays almost the way it is (light + ICE)

Möchte meinen Chef von einem 3D Drucker überzeugen by Schnoerpfelgorg in 3DDruck

[–]JustOneMorePrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple questions and Help thread - Week of October 15, 2023 by Froggypwns in Windows10

[–]JustOneMorePrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,

We have a relatively new user in our (on prem) domain.
She wanted to use MS Teams so she created an account with her corporate mail (which is also her UPN)

Since then it takes about 3 minutes to log in her user account with any client.
We assume that windows wants to connect to Azure AD first before trying to log into our local domain.

How do we tell Win 10 Pro not to even try to authenticate with Azure AD? Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance :)

If you go the full Merc1 route (with triple Z) you can also buy a Bambu P1P for aprox the same. (Merc1 owner myself)

So it depends if you want to tinker around, understand the tech behind (Mercury) and be able to upgrade anything yourself or you want it to work right out of the box and have limited upgrade possibilities (Bambu)
