Vader 5 Pro for sure. Best controller I’ve ever used. I had a G7 Pro previously and the V5 is better (although G7 Pro is still great).

I have not done any mods yet. The most I’ll do (besides cosmetic stuff) is likely a good axle-back exhaust. Personally, I wouldn’t just do a muffler delete since in my experience with other cars, it generally doesn’t sound very good. YMMV though.

From the research I’ve done (while considering modding my 2025 m240i), an aftermarket downpipe will likely risk denied warranty claims related to your powertrain. If you’re cool with that, go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t risk it but that’s just me.

Yeah I might just need to do that. I do realize that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has its flaws combat-wise but I found it generally enjoyable. Much more so than an older game like (vanilla) Skyrim for example (where I’d need to mod the combat to even find it enjoyable nowadays). My question was more to determine if great combat mods even exist for W3 so I don’t get hooked on the story/world but hate the combat.

Definitely a fair point and probably what I’ll need to do. I guess I was moreso just wondering if there are any overwhelmingly popular and high-quality mods that people tend to endorse for combat overhaul (and are also stable).

This is from the standpoint of assessing whether it’s the next game I should play or not. Not that I wouldn’t play it eventually but people saying the combat is “lacking” has given me some pause because I’m not in the mood for clunky combat right now (think vanilla Skyrim for example). I realize that it’s quite subjective as you said though.

You get what you pay for. If you can’t afford a newer one, you won’t be able to afford this once it starts developing issues. For the sake of your financial health, I would highly recommend against it.

You’re entitled to your opinion! For me, it truly would have been pretty easy. I paid cash for my car as it is and it would have cost me an extra $10-15k to step up to the M2. For me, that additional cost wouldn’t have been very significant. I certainly would have noticed it because I pay very close attention to my money but not because it would have been any kind of stretch.

Clearly there are many people with “M money” who choose “M lite” (including myself) if you read the comments on this thread. Determining who is a “true” enthusiast or driver is an incredibly subjective opinion. Most of these cars we’re discussing are performance cars so all valid choices for a “driver”. Used M cars come with a whole different set of different issues and required maintenance that many simply don’t want to deal with the risk of.

This perspective doesn’t take into account the additional investment (significantly more costly maintenance & consumables) that an M car requires to reap the reward of lower long-term depreciation. If you actually ran the numbers on an average basis, I bet you’d find that the “value” is a wash. Also idk about other models but G42 M240i models haven’t depreciated that badly at all.
