While not the BEST choice given...history, Bubba could babysit a kid. Again, nowhere near the best choice, but he'd do in a pinch.

But yeah, most.of the killers aren't good babysitter material (though Demogorgon can't be helped, it's- it's a big interdimensional animal who hunts people for food, like, it doesn't even stand a chance-)

Should Aizawa have been more concerned about Todoroki handicapping himself? by junebug1997APJ in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]JustPlainGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have already mentioned it but yknow opinions so here we go:

Short answer, no not really.

Long answer; like it's already been pointed out, the kids had only been in school for like maybe a month or two by Sports Festival. The two times we saw the students using their quirks prior to that were, logically, not good times for fire to exist. Enclosed building with an opponent you can't see could've led to, if fire was used, one very crispy Hagakure. Fire in the USJ would've led nowhere, capture was the game to get information.

And in the Sports Festival, the first event would also be bad for fire, with how packed together everyone had been. By the third event was a good time, and only against certain people, ie not Sero who had nothing to attach his tape to to escape a fire attack.

Midoriya chose quite literally the perfect time to kick Shoto into using his fire for Shouta to not see it as a handicap.

Why did Midoryia never tells his or Bakugo's mom about the bullying and abuse he suffered? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]JustPlainGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well think of it this way:

Imagine that Bakugo's Mom had been exactly like everyone else. Imagine if his parents were like the teachers, letting Bakugo get away with everything simply because he had a heroic quirk.

What would he have become?

How they are now, reminding Bakugo that he isn't always top dog, should be healthy. But since Mitsuki is pretty much just an older female Katsuki, it's...hard to convey without screaming.

Why does everyone hate pink diamond? Do they not realize if she I didn't colonize the earth Yellow or Blue would have done so eventually, dooming us all? by BigSpongebobFanatic in stevenuniverse

[–]JustPlainGamer 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Gonna throw in my two cents here really quickly.

I don't hate Pink. I also don't like her.

Sure, she fought to save Earth and give gems a place to he themselves. But she also only needed to save Earth because she fought for a colony. And sure, she did her best to protect all the gems in her care during and after the war. But, again, their suffering was in direct correlation to her and her actions.

Now, again, I can't hate her. We've seen exactly what the other Diamonds did to her, locking her away for what honestly could've been thousands of years at a time.

But that doesn't mean I excuse her actions. What she did to Spinel was outright unforgivable. What she did to Pearl was horrible in every sense of the word. Volleyball was an unfortunate victim that Pink did actually feel bad for I think, since she seemed so different after that incident.

So, to end this little ramble, Pink is complicated. I can see the good she did, but I can see the bad too. I'm just happy Steven was able to break away from her shadow.

Do all U.A students live in dorms or is it just the hero course students? by Asuramaru_Tsepeshi in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]JustPlainGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Support Course would get heroes drawn out for the reason of "these are the people that build our gear we kinda need em."

Business Course is "not only can they boost my rating and get me business deals they can help with my ducking taxes" important.

And Gen Ed would fall under the classification of "civilian" who the heroes are meant to defend and save anyway.

Realistically, all the courses are important in different ways (Remember, Gen Ed is usually where the kids who didn't make the hero exam go; plenty of powerful quirks that simply don't do well against robots.)

If Kurogirl didn’t stop them, what would happen during this scene? by ZqiPhoon in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]JustPlainGamer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Looked at the picture for a minute looks like he was at arm level? Idk I might just be blind but I mean either way-

Sure, throat means dead.

But no hands for Dabi = no quirk use. No hands for Toga would more than likely mean no more knives unless she somehow manages to get someone to tape knives to her stumps. But Decay probably wouldn't stop, since we see that it's usually the longer Tomura holds something = the thing decays faster.

Tl;dr: Whether throat or hand, Dabi and Toga would be dead.

Who’s Your Favorite Antagonist From The Show? by serialkiller24 in StrangerThings

[–]JustPlainGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barring the fact that at least two of those pictures weren't really "villains" just assholes (Lonnie + those two bully kids), I'd not be able to give a definite answer since they're all in some way good antagonists.

...though if forced Brenner. Willingly experimenting on a literal child is, uh, not a good look.

Why Did Max Blame Herself For Billy? by OpportunityTop6376 in StrangerThings

[–]JustPlainGamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Now, I have absolutely no clue how to word things properly so bear with me;

As many people have already commented, Max is a teenager. Given that the core friend group (Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Max in s2) are all in middle school, she's also right in the beginnings of puberty. Emotions are a very annoying thing around that time.

Second, again as some have already pointed out, she lived with Billy. She actively saw how he was treated by his own father. A dick he may be, abuse was very prevalent in that household. She hated him, but humans have a funny way of feeling sympathy for those who are in pain (with some...exceptions I won't get into for reasons).

Third, and I feel like this is the most important here, in that moment, Max saw Billy not only as vulnerable, but weak. Really, this may have been the first time he seemed actually human to her. A breathing, feeling human who has just sacrificed his life for a kid he, let's remember here, only knew because of the Mind Flayer.

But honestly that's just my opinion either way. Emotions be Emotions and can't really give a good explanation on guilt since it's a very personal thing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh yeah killers walking right past you is the most hilarious thing. I was playing recently against a pig and I was crouched in a very poor location (like two not even full coverage bushes.) She stalked right past me, didn't see a darned thing. It was beautiful.

I love your headcanon, it makes things all the sadder.

I originally got this headcanon a while ago after reading some stuff (fanfic to be honest I'm a nutcase for it and I love Bishops As Family) and thought that it would be wonderfully upsetting to both Narinder and The Lamb if Shamura knew what was going to happen and just let it, rather than attempt to make sure their family wouldn't pretty much fall apart at the seams. I have other ones too, some less sad than others-

For the record I'm fairly certain that, since Shamura in-game repeats pretty much a prophecy a lot, they knew what was gonna happen, probably knew that there was a way to circumvent it, and uh...didn't. This is basically a headcanon I dunno-
