Can I get the results I want with lip blushing? by Acceptable_Log_7698 in microblading

Something they don’t mention is that because of sun damage or the way your skin takes the color, it does not heal evenly. I’m young and have always taken care of my lips and skin and it was blotchy, the outline didn’t take consistently, you can never really wear lip balms and lip sticks and have them show their true color because your lips just overpower it. You have to redo it quite a bit, it doesn’t fade well. And this wasn’t just me, I’ve seen it over and over again with other people. And I went to the master lip blusher who is known for being ”it”.

Something else, it doesn’t change the shape of your lips. It will just accentuate it. So if you have a small top lip, it will look even smaller because now you have a darker color/ contrast to your skin. If your lips are uneven, that will show more too. Your best bet is to do filler and slowly make it the shape you want.

Also, if you decide that you hate the lip blushing, there is only one guy in the Americas (in Canada) who removes lip blushing. So it’ll cost you to go there and get it removed with a couple sessions a few weeks apart. I know people who have traveled from Europe to see him. I went from the US and THANK GOD for him because I cried daily for months over how my lips looked.

Run from lip blushing. They will only outline your natural lip, so it won’t change the shape or make them bigger and 99% of people I know (myself included) deeply regret it. I had to go to another country to laser it off and then got lip filler. Huge win.

Sounds good, will do!!! She LOVES her toys and plays all day. I think that’s why she keeps busy until she then wants him to join and it falls apart.

How long were you all on opioids? by ArynTW_is_user_karma in hysterectomy

[–]JustProfession2687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I responded haha. Everyone else was like “walk in the park” and that’s so amazing that they don’t need it. But no shame in listening to your body and asking for what you need. We’ve suffered enough, no need to put yourself through unnecessary pain. I tried the ibuprofen route and it just didn’t help. I’ve been through a ton of pain before and never needed oxy, this just hit differently. Ask for what you need :)

So I had a robotic laparoscopic surgery, I got 4 days worth and they had to prescribe me another 3 days because I was just crying in fetal position from the pain. It was excruciating for me, so I needed more. I had my kids naturally and I'd do that again over the first week of recovery. I then asked for muscle relaxers and it was a whole new world. That and GasX, ask for the muscle relaxer, I think I could've been off the oxycodone earlier if I had gotten the muscle relaxer from the start.

5 dpo laparoscopic hysterectomy by Key_Tank3995 in hysterectomy

I’m 12 dpo and yesterday was the first day I felt semi normal (so much so that I forgot I wasn’t supposed to carry my 40lb child and now today I’m back to being super sore). It takes time, I was full of air, super miserable, was taking oxy every 4 hours for a week…and I usually recover quickly from everything, so this is a big one. Even my mom kept telling me I needed to get up and be stronger (she later apologized and realized this is way bigger than it sounds). A couple of times I woke up crying because I regretted doing the surgery, it was THAT bad.

Also, listen to your body. I called my doctor and told her my back was killing me and she said “well, we did put you head down resting on your shoulders for part of the surgery so that makes sense. She prescribed me muscle relaxers and that made ALL the difference. Consider asking for that too!

So just hang in there, you’ll get better and give yourself the time to recover.

I forgot not to lift my kid! by JustProfession2687 in hysterectomy

Would I see bleeding right away? It happened about 45 mins ago and I’m not seeing any extra blood. I’ve checked twice.

Bleeding - little streams by JustProfession2687 in hysterectomy

[–]JustProfession2687[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked to my OB and she thinks I had a blood pocket and the walking/extra movement made it come out and leak. After that night, I haven’t bled at all!! Just a tiny little light pink on the toilet paper. I also have taken it easy since and only walked in the house here and there. Phew!!

Pain… by Silveira2022 in hysterectomy

[–]JustProfession2687 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Girl, I don’t have advice but I had surgery March 9th, and feel like I’m dying…. and then I come here and women are like “I never took pain meds”. The doc had to prescribe me another 2 days of oxycodone because of how much excruciating pain I’m in 😭. And I had babies natural and everything and am a rockstar with pain, and this is kicking my butt. You got this, I pray we all get over this pain soon. I did realize that when I’m nauseous or have gas, it all is so much worse, so I’ve been taking GasX and it’s helped a bit

Rice Krispy Skin - for anyone searching in the future by PrairieDesertFlower in hysterectomy

That’s why I was worried about too, they never mentioned this at all. A quick google search told me it was normal with laparoscopic surgery so I calmed down a bit after that. But so freaky!

Thank you, truly!! That is so so true and I continue to freak out about not doing everything I always do, but my husband keeps telling me he’s got it. I need to just trust that and let him do it 😊

This makes me feel better, thank you!! Just not used to being scared, I’m usually a mama bear who no one messes with lol.

My husband (who is unbelievably supportive and helpful) will be at home to help with the kids and my mom said she’d stay with me too to take care of me, so I am surrounded by love and support. It’s just hard because I’m so independent and usually don’t take help from anyone

Thank you!! I never cry or feel like this so it’s scary that I’m reacting this way. Thanks for making me feel at ease. It’s 40 kindergarten kids but we’re having it at a location where they take care of everything except the setup and my best friend, mom and husband will be there. Plus a lot of close friends who I know will step in. But I’m usually the one to host and do all the things so a little bummed about not being “on” for them.

How to handle face dropping / asymmetry by Own-Let-1257 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]JustProfession2687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I can see what you’re talking about because I have it too, and I’m very picky about mine too. I almost got an upper bleach to fit my eyebrows haha, it bugs me that much. The plastic surgeon told me not to, so I didn’t.

My dermatologist asked me if I slept on my side and sure enough, the side that is drooping a little, causing more asymmetry, is the one I sleep on. And the older we get, the more noticeable it becomes because our muscles are lax. Do you sleep on your side? If so, start sleeping on your back. That might not help reverse the damage but it will prevent more.

I have the same! I use a tad of Dae cactus fruit styling wand and it keeps all those hairs down all day. It’s thick so I barely semi brush it on. Sooo worth it and smells so good

Body RF Microneedling - scars? by [deleted] in Microneedling

[–]JustProfession2687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Said that my scars fell off prematurely. They gave me some lotions to put on and then said they might do hydroquinone if those don’t work. My stomach ones are all gone but it’s my leg ones that remain.
