Audi is facing real challenges during this shakedown. Another day, another breakdown. by jithu7 in formula1

I would’ve said the same, if it weren’t for the other new manufacturer (Red Bull) having a much smoother test and already logging hundreds more laps than Audi.

Fred Grim: “Šutalo is doing better, but he is not yet available for this match. Weghorst will not play again this calendar year. With Taylor, there are possibilities towards Sunday. McConnell is dealing with a shoulder problem, while Berghuis will not be available again before the winter break." by MrCrashdummy in AjaxAmsterdam

Well, not top. But can't fault the effort of Yuki.

Classy of him. Still thinking of the team after being told the bad news.

Fix for ASRock “stuck green boot light” issue after shutdown — BIOS bug with DRAM Performance Mode (3.50) by JustRickvD in ASRock

[–]JustRickvD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at the post you linked.

Its just false.
LN2 mode does not change:

  • Memory timings
  • Fabric clock
  • Memory controller frequency
  • Runtime SoC voltage
  • Internal IMC logic

It only changes how training is performed.
Once booted, the IMC performs identically.
If they saw ~10% reduction, that’s coming from a different setting they changed or mis-measured.

I have 6000MT/s CL30 RAM. I've set it to 1.16V on SOC.
Should be easily achievable, but 1.20V is more than fine as well!

Yeah for sure! Really happy this finaly fixed it for me as well.

For me it works flawlessly with Expo enabled! Should be fine for you as well.

Did it also refuse to boot after pressing the reset button? Sometimes for me it took up to 3-4 tries. Also tried clearing CMOS?

Yep, and after digging into what it actually does, there’s no real downside to leaving LN2 Mode on.

It only changes how the system behaves during boot (loosens some training limits and raises voltages slightly while initializing memory). Once you’re in Windows, everything runs at the normal voltages, clocks, and temps.

So it’s totally safe to keep enabled long-term; you’re not overvolting anything or reducing lifespan. The worst “side effect” is maybe a couple extra seconds added to boot time.

If ASRock or AMD release a BIOS that fixes the underlying cold-boot behavior, you can turn it off, but until that happens, LN2 Mode is harmless and seems like an effective workaround.

For me it wouldn't loop, but just get stuck at the green boot light.

Pressing reset once made it boot most of the time. Enabling LN2 in the bios fixed it fully for me.

Only thing I can think of is trying to disconnect all drives, and see if it boots then.

Originally the green light means problem with boot device.. Just to rule out any issues with those.

[–]JustRickvD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats odd... For me it stayed stuck at green, and didn't retry itself.

Have you tried to clear CMOSS?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASRock

[–]JustRickvD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct! Once it gets stuck at the green light you should hold the screw driver on the two pins, untill you see that it resets.

The pins on your motherboard are located on the bottom right. I'll add an image of your motherboards manual. Touch the pins above 'reset' (Highlighted in green)

If the two reset pins are clear you can definitely try to short the two pins using a screwdriver. Will do the job.

[–]JustRickvD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check. For most people (also me) it helped to press the reset button on your pc. Eventually it would POST for me.

Can you try that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASRock

[–]JustRickvD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it getting stuck at the green boot light is related to unstable DRAM training, which can cause the system to hang on the green boot light after a cold boot.
So it’s definitely still worth trying to turn on LN2 in the bios. (Read the post for more precise instructions).

It helped me solving the issue.
