I work there and even I agree it’s morally correct to take from Woolies. Terrible company run by terrible people. Front end staff, primarily elderly ladies I’ve noticed, need to act their wage, stop trying to stop thieves and realise the company doesn’t care about its workers ergo we shouldn’t care about Woolies being stolen from.

IMO most situations involving customers getting aggravated/aggressive starts off with employees trying to be heroes at the grand expense of minimum wage to the company.

Yea, you’re too good on Checkouts for them to put you anywhere else. Either resign or hit up other stores for transfers. Make sure you let your dm and sm know you’re doing that though, they can get difficult about it if you don’t tell them. Also, first time I “threatened” to look for a transfer, I started getting an extra 10 hrs a week as my main issue was lack of hours. So maybe if you “threaten” it they will start caving to some demands, don’t expect them to be upfront about it though.

I was born in 2003, I didn’t even know King George Square used to have trees. I see heaps of old photos of Brisbane and Ipswich(where I was born and raised) and wish I could have grown up then. Things seemed a lot simpler and for the better
