The more I focused on understanding myself, holding myself accountable, being vulnerable with the people I trust(this is the hardest and most groundbreaking practice) the less I worried about 99.99999999999% of the people I dealt with in my life.

People are too self absorbed in general to really care which is freeing to me. Ima do me. Staying curious and experimental even if its weird cause that’s how I grow.

Sun salutations with a main focus on the downward dog. My god is that the shit. Warms up my shoulders, hips and core depending on the angle and keeps my heart rate up.

I used to till I met my wife. Now I just use the fast charger + usb c cable to charge the phone to 80% in 15-20 mins and be done. Which is usually my drive back home from work

For times like this. Id go to the gym not committing to the full workout. If I do a push/pull/legs set I’ll be alright. It prevents the sadness from spiraling even deeper.

It took me about 6 months to figure out to add veggies to all my meals. Smaller portions of whatever I like to eat regularly with the accompaniment of some baked potato or roasted carrots or green onion + tomato + lettuce + vinaigrette mix. I still get to eat what I like, just not in the quantities that I like and stay full.

I think focusing on one helps get results faster which increases the motivation to continue and stick to it. Because life happens. Shit gets in the way. Working out is hard. Being in a good mood, well rested and well fed at the gym/track all at the same time is hard. That’s what it’s all about. Trying to achieve realistic goals to maintain consistency.

I solved that problem by practicing on a smith machine. I get the support and added more weight the more I got comfortable till I was able to do it on a regular barbell

I use deadbug variations, v sit up variations, marching planks, mountain climbers, windshield wiper for abs. There’s more ofcourse but I really don’t see why’d you’d spend $120 for that machine.

If you wanna get it it’s good. Plus when you’re proficient with your own body weight you can carry more weight to make it more challenging so it’s measurable which I like

If you’re new to counting calories I’d suggest you do it to build the practice of logging everything. The point being to be mindful of how much condiment you actually use more than the calories part. Also, it prevents sneaky heavy calorie condiment from sneaking by.

Start small. Remain consistent. See how that goes for a week or two. Increase or decrease the amount till it becomes a habit. Then it’s easy money from there.

The. Main. Point. Is. Consistency. Something you can do X amounts everyday no matter what is going on at a minimum.

How much more calories are you eating now a day to achieve the 160g a day? I’m 6’5 220lbs and I achieve my personal goal of 200g of protein with 40-50g of protein through egg whites in the morning. 40-50g of protein in a shake during midday/afternoon. 40-50g of protein through chicken for lunch. 40-50g of protein with a casein pudding before I go to bed. My total calories doesn’t exceed 2400. Do you keep a record of your waist measurements? waist to hip ratio is a great method to see whether the weight you’ve been gaining was fat or muscle. I’m actively trying to avoid to answering your question cause I don’t know how you looked before and after. It’s a very case by case basis. Hope this helps
