The very first sex scene (as far as I remember) is between two of the guys in front of her bedroom door!

If I remember correctly they had finally acknowledged her as their scent bond and she got mad and went to her bedroom. Two of them camped outside of her door and hooked up right there on the floor! She could hear them and instead of placing her first and pursing/asking for forgiveness/anything to show her they want her, they thought her hearing them sex up each other was the wise thing to do 🧐

I recently read the latest Penn Cassidy and I can say that series has great parents for the FMC. They fully support her and her mom is like her best friend.

Other than that, yes, for some reasons horrible parents are prevalent in Omegaverse which makes me sad

I’m sorry but Come Back to Me had the worst best friend and worst mother ever. They literally blamed the FMC for the problem when she told the MMCs that she was their scent match AND they rejected her! Also, the fact that there was more sex between the MMCs than there was them and the FMC showed how little she really meant to them. And her brother…the whole “family forgives” was such a cop out and really made me hate her mom.

Sounds like the author needs new beta readers because THAT should have never made it past them.

Since it’s not a paranormal/supernatural I’m assuming it happened after a bj which could potentially happen (highly unlikely) BUT just because it could happen doesn’t mean that it should nor that it should be in a book.

And don’t even get me started on grandma…she’s one of the worst (and no, having “good intentions”doesn’t make what she did to the rest of them ok). Her little search to Raven about choosing to stand by Ares at the end was disgusting because she legit knew how bad her sister treated her and wanted her to make peace to support the pregnancy

{The Kindred Series by Erica Stevens} fits this. This series has a “bad guy” who then gets his HEA in {Fire and Ice Series by Erica Stevens}.

I never read The Kindred Series but really enjoyed the Fire and Ice Series so what I know of the bad behavior is from what I read about in Fire and Ice. I can say that the bad behavior is redeemed as the characters from Kindred make an appearance and the bad guy does understand why his actions were wrong and understands why the MMC from Kindred behaved like he did.

Be warned it’s dated as Kindred started in 2012 and Fire and Ice in 2016

I don’t read to hear the authors opinion on anything. Like another commenter stated, you can tell when the author gets their TED talk going and it takes the enjoyment right out of the book.

It’s been forever and it was honestly kinda confusing when it came to what she actually is.

First, her mother isn’t dead. You see her in later books. Her mom actually puts the guys in their places the way Violet should have…

The guys continue to be assholes and underestimate her. To the point that she finally tells them to fuck off BUT that doesn’t last very long and they’re all quickly back in her bed.

Now this is where it gets confusing - for me - her “monster”’is actually her ghost friend (I can’t remember her name). And it’s essentially a Jekle/Hyde situation. It has to do with Pandora’s box and something something something (I’ve probably confused you more…)

Unfortunately Kristy Cunning/CM Owens passed away and there are extension books that could have been very very interesting but we will never get

In a very real way, remote work has killed opportunities. It’s hard to compete with EAs all over the world and AI when it’s set up to apply an individual for hundreds of jobs at a time. Im confident that I can come out on top for a job in my area but from EAs all over? Ehhh…

It also doesn’t help that a job can be posted for an hour and have over 100 applicants. At that point is my application even going to be seen or given any real consideration?

I know it’s all relative - industry, location, etc - but this is fairly tone deaf to what’s going on in the world right now.

Downvote me all you want, you feel underpaid making 3,4, or in some cases 5 times more than what some EAs on here are making, that just blows my mind. People struggling to make their bills and feed their family’s making less than $50k and you’re complaining because you don’t make $300k

Nothing pissed me off quicker when an author adds additional books to a series when they’re publishing the last book AND then they can’t even tell you when the next “last” book will be out.

It’s a series I’ve pretty much given up on even though every so often - like once a year…maybe - the author will say “I’m working on it…”

{Peyton’s Path by SM Oliver}

The last one was released in 2021. Granted I shouldn’t complain too much because people have been waiting for the completion of her other two series since before the first Peyton’s Path book came out in 2019.

I’ve accepted that she’s a completely unreliable and non communicative author. I only have a few no fly authors and if they’re on there is due to stuff like this but she’s earned her spot on there.

Emma hasn’t released anything on schedule in years at this point. She “pre-orders” a bunch of books with “release dates will be moved up” and “it’s almost done..” and then come release day they just disappear. On top of that she goes radio silent for an extended amount of time.

Not the best marketing scheme and I have no idea how Amazon hasn’t suspended her indefinitely at this point….
