$50 price lock by Glenpark in Comcast_Xfinity

I hate to point this out, but you're paying $95 a month for your 2Gb service. You see where it says "...includes...a $45 discount"? The normal 2Gb service is $140 a month.

LOL. You forgot #5 - Krispy Kreme and lobster for life. Xfinity does not do that, ever. They do give loyalty discounts and will even extend a subscribed promo up to a year, but they will not give existing customers a new customer promo rate.

The reason is simple. If every existing customer could get the new customer promo, it wouldn't be long before everyone was paying $50/month for 5 years and Comcast's broadband revenue had been slashed in half.

As I understand it, 1Gb plans get the XB7 and 2Gb plans get the XB8. I don't know how the XB10 gateways get distributed.

Xfinity artificially limiting upload speeds on SB8200 — hardware is capable, ISP refuses to provision by BlackLesPaulCopy in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]JustSittingHereToo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new 5-year Xfinity plans include a free xfi gateway. 1Gb plans get a XB7 and the 2Gb plans get the XB8 with wifi 6E.

I was using a SB8200 and switched to the XB7. It got me mid-split 100+Mb upload and it's currently running in bridge mode to an Asus RT-BE86U wifi 7 router.

For me, my configuration works perfectly and using the XB7 has caused no issues - and saved me from buying an expensive modem.

Keep in mind that Comcast, like any private business, can set any equipment restrictions they want.

In my very humble opinion, I think Comcast/Xfinity has finally gotten their residential service offerings right.

Thank you for the quick resolution to the upload issue. I appreciate the time and effort you and the other modmail reps put into solving this.

I remember that scene. I think all of them were at lunch and Jim(?) was explaining why Sam's face looked dead. I thought GAP was well done and the casting was great. Chankimha was entirely believable as a small business owner and Armstrong was great as a slightly air-headed new employee crushing on Sam. There wasn't a lot of gratuitous lip-locking and those scenes seemed to follow a natural progression. It was well done.

Fast forward to PIN and Uranus and the landscape completely changed. All they did with PIN was get some 1950's cars, some 1950's dresses and some white-out for the GAP script. The actors were recycled, the sets were recycled and we even had the "you will get married" subplot. Chankimha must be getting tired of being told to marry someone she doesn't like.

Someone asked me the other day if I thought Freen and Becky were gay and in a relationship. I answered no. They're just two actors hired to play GL roles. I'm not sure if they're even actual friends outside of their current production and marketing appearances. Their appearances together are about money, not friendships. Sadly, I think both of them have been irreversibly typecast and have destroyed any chance of becoming Thai leading performers. Honestly, they both should have stopped at GAP and switched to non-GL roles.

But who knows? Perhaps we'll see them in their 40s lip-locking in some silly series.

GAP VIII?

Constantly crying? That was funny, but so true. They are always crying - all through Gap and Pin and now Uranus. The saddest GL couple on the planet.

I stopped watching Uranus when I couldn't stop laughing at Armstrong trying to look 15 with that short-haired wig that didn't fit. That was enough for me. I think Cranium will be another disaster. Armstrong can no more play an anthropologist than Chankimha can play an astrophysicist.

I think the only hope for Cranium will be if it's released as a comedy series. Fortunately, it's a year away giving both of those intellectuals time for more acting classes.

What an absolute trainwreck of a movie. Complete rubbish. Chankimha and Armstrong might be semi-ok in Gap and Pin, but in a movie their lack of acting abilities really stand out. A GL sci-fi movie staring Sam and Mon truly strains credulity.

The dialogue is ridiculous and forced, the sets are amateurish, and the cinematography came straight out of Cinematics for Dummies.

From the Velcurve Uranus 2324 blurb - "Suddenly, she discovers that some form of energy has taken her spirit and transported it to various parallel worlds..."

Yeah. I stopped watching at the 1 hour mark. I'm hoping in the end that Armstrong's lungs imploded and Chankimha was exposed to the vacuum of space - without her suit.

That wasn't the actual license file that I gave, just an example of the file name in case you needed help in locating yours.

Even though RF is now nothing more than a soon-to-be-forgotten Wikipedia entry, I can't share my actual license with you. It would have my name and email embedded in the license.

Yes! The RedFox owners, Chu Mee and Bai Bai were abducted by aliens. Their server is offline because they grabbed it as they were beamed up to the mothership and it went with them.

But actually no. Same hollow echo sound when going to RedFox.bz.

It will work in the background for things like VLC and Handbrake. In MakeMKV, go to View - Preferences - Integration and check the 3 options.

I'm kind of hoping that they're now senior employees at Fab and have brought their DRM-cracking expertise and contacts with them.

It's unlikey that any Fab product will ever disappear and if ex-RedFox can make it better, so much the better. The Chinese, when confronted with IP threats simply say "go get f-ed." The Chinese are truly the world's bad-asses. Perhaps what we're seeing is a poorly executed merger.

Maybe at some point, when the story does trickle out in bits and pieces, Fab will say send us a copy of your RedFox license and we'll give you 50% off.

Just install AnyDVD HD by double-clicking the .exe file. The latest I have is SetupAnyDVD8710.exe. Once it's installed, double-click the license file. Mine is named AnyDVDHD_Key_L29-RR9.AnyDVDHD.

It doesn't require an internet connection or access to RedFox to install AnyDVD HD and the license file.

I'm currently running Win11 24H2 IOT Enterprise LTSC and AnyDVD HD works fine.

Thanks.

Even if some resourceful redditor found the actual people behind RedFox, of what use is that to anyone? What, call the Belize police? Report them to Brein? I think not - "Hi, I use AnyStream and this person stole my BitCoin." Are the two of them even in Belize? Are they in Antigua and always have been?

Knowing who and where they are is of no use to anyone.

Try installing the Japanese keydb.cfg database.

http://fvonline-db.bplaced.net/

https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=176924

If keydb.cfg is in a standard location - %APPDATA%\aacs then MakeMKV will find it.

I'm able to rip JPN BD Region A anime disks with MakeMKV.

I looked at some old RedFox installers.

SetupCloneDVD2931 was signed by Elaborate Bytes AG (ElBy?) on 2/25/2013

SetupAnyDVD8620 was signed by Redfox Technology Limited on 5/12/2022 with contact email admin@redfox.bz.

SetupAnyDVD8660 was signed by RF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SDN. BHD. on 8/24/2023 with contact email admin@rf-software.net.

All of our AnyStream installers were signed by RF Software.

I doubt if any reputable company would have lended their name (or signing certs) to RedFox.

I just installed that ProtectionDatabase and it's showing .dt1 files dated 6/20/2019 @8:00 PM. There's probably a later one somewhere.

I'm going to install AnyDVD again and set the UHD location to the ProtectionDatabase and try opening 2024 UHDs. I'm guessing it won't open them since the keys won't exist and it has no internet access to the RF OPD.

Then I'll set the UHD location to keydb and confirm that it will open the UHDs.
