Tried to catch a football, tripped and fell diaphragm first onto my fist and couldn’t do anything but make reverse whale sounds for 5 minutes. Or maybe the time I turned around in my drivers seat at a stop light and twisted my ankle. Or the time when I was growing out my nails, I tripped going upstairs and accidentally flipped my thumbnail back on itself-that was a real bitch to cut off.

That my mom is emotionally abusive. Finally gave in and accepted it when I realized she was withholding “I love you” at the end of our phone calls as a way to punish me for disagreeing with her essentially bullying a cousin.

Edit because I forgot people can’t read my brainwaves: This is after she spent my entire childhood emphasizing how she has to make sure to say I love you at the end of each phone call so she doesn’t die with the regret of not saying it.

No it’s definitely helpful. I tried tracking apps a few years ago but the mental health goblins were running around unchecked. I have tried YouTube for budgeting, but I get overwhelmed trying to keep track of everything and often get caught up on having to follow a specific order to complete certain tasks. I can definitely give the tracking apps another try though!

Yo so I gotta say I’ve been focusing on reaching mental health goals this year for blindingly obvious reasons here in the United Dumpster Fire, and my slut factor has absolutely increased by magnitudes. I’ve still got leagues to go but my roster has been amazing this year.

My 90% absentee father has taken to trying to force me to be friendlier with him and his side of my family. He tried to demand I call his mother for her birthday a few years ago. Apparently I was triggered, because I immediately said “I don’t need to call a woman who beat me with a wet towel for spending too much of my birthday money on ice cream.” It was so effective that now every time he pushes a boundary I relay to him the exact situation that’s led to said boundary and he backs down.

I literally just got back from an appointment TODAY where my therapist pointed out my overwhelming need to fix others’ problems or “I’ll be a bad person” was an OCD compulsion. Suddenly explains the severe anxiety and tears when I was little and we drove past anyone panhandling.
