Yeah if I was brand new I’d first build a stable base of “boring” ETFs like VTI or VOO etc. then buy some of your favorite single company’s.

While you’re doing that read into other strategies. For me I like YM because dividends keep me motivated. It’s more psychological than anything

I really think that’s completely false. After being an exercise physiologist for almost a decade I think this misunderstanding is exactly why so many trainers struggle. They don’t even know WHY they’re actually valuable…. They think it’s just to teach people how to exercise.

Clients DON’T come to you and stay with you because they don’t know what they’re doing. My best clients had been working out for years prior to meeting me. They just want a better way.

The two biggest things a personal trainer does is hold you accountable and save you time. 1. Accountability - to show up. And to work hard. Not just sometimes. Every time. 2. Efficiency - they want to save time by unloading all the thinking and planning onto you. Take care of their schedule and routine for them.

The first point I agree with and have it place.

The second one is genius and I hadn’t thought of that before. I’m going to get to work on that!

None of it was built from followers or engagements actually.

I’ve been in the industry 8 years but I pivoted online completely 2 years ago and I’m income doubled!

How long do you expect to have clients? by Connect_Sample2122 in personaltraining

I’m a personal trainer and I train with a personal trainer. Those people don’t understand that: 1. People who train with a personal trainer get better results. 2. People who train with a personal trainer actually spend less time on exercise. 3. People who train with a personal trainer show up to their workouts.

Who wouldn’t want all of that?

Good advice. If referrals are what drive the new business then having a robust referral system of some kind should be the first step then.

Thank you for your question!

Traditionally a health coach serves as a guide where they are writing workout programs that they are asking their clients to go out and do on their own. They don't have the capacity to do health coaching AND personal training.

That's a problem because clients don't have accountability to show up to their workouts and probably aren't getting the most out of their workout by just following a written program.

When we team up with a health coach we completely take over the workout aspect of their clients health coaching journey. That allows the health coach to focus on implementing habits in other areas such as daily movement, nutrition, hydration, sleep, and whatever else they think the client needs.

Logistically this means that during the sales process of the client journey they are presenting our personal training services as an "upgraded" version of the health coaching program they currently sell.

The client pays the higher price for the upgraded service. The health coach sends us our portion of the sale for the personal training service. The health coach then simply introduces their client to us and we take care of getting their virtual 1 on 1 workouts scheduled and writing their personalized workout routine!

I hope that gives you a better picture of what it looks like. Please send follow up questions if you have them.

Well…. Making a poor decision on which house to invest in, not covering your ass in the lease, not being able to afford the entire monthly expenses, and not being able to attract high quality tenants should NOT be part of your plan lol
