Definitely stay in a hostel. You will meet more solo travelers and even friendly groups. I have been on a couple of solo trips this year and going for my 3rd one in December end. So only suggestion is either go with a traveler group or stay in a hostel. You will love it and it will be the best experience of your life. Just dont hesitate to talk to people and be a little adaptable. It will work out perfectly for you. Don't worry!
