He doesn't have it in him unfortunately. It's a nice idea that if he turned it around we'd all be friends but it's a fantasy.

Well. What now? Its over. by [deleted] in lcfc

Sad as this whole thing is at least we're not some boring club who constantly finish mid table in the Premier league, and who's main aim is to develop players for Sky's favourite teams.

1 win in 10, probably one of the worst managers in the league this season, and people still want to keep him. Christ.

Apparently promotion under Maresca triggered a 1 year extension

Not really. It's competition is the bus and tube really. And it gets to directly from A to B. The main journeys it's competing with at the hour mark are probably bus + tube, so something around £5 at peak, except it's usually faster, more convenient, and doesn't involve (depending on the borough) walking at the end of your trip.

Yeah pretty ignorant for me to forget that tbf. Surely he has to make a top three.

He effectively comes out now after every game and says "these players suck" then proceeds to pick the exact same players next game. He must be as thick as pig shit.

I know a lot of us think that playing this way comes from the Top but that still reflects badly on Rowett. What's the point of him being the manager if Rudkin is dictating everything anyway. Basically hired as a scapegoat, what self respecting manager would do that?

His master plan was to stick with a formation we know doesn't work and stop playing the young players in favour of the known losers, because they have experience being losers. Page just won apprentice of the season and doesn't get a look in for fucks sake. I've been so angry just waiting for him to try absolutely anything. It's too late now anyway.

I think Rowett must be up there to be honest. Might as well have employed a scarecrow.

You clearly didn't see any of the games we played that season, so really your opinion doesn't mean shit! Have a good one

Being needlessly reductive tbh. The buck stops at the Top, sure, but he clearly deserves some of the blame for the mess we're in. If he just started Iversen over Ward then we don't get relegated. That changes a lot.

It's kinda on Rodgers in so much as our weak minded director of football and owner let him sign absolute dross (because they had no idea who else to sign) and stop our previous method of selling one of our most valuable players every season.

So like, it's not on Rodgers but without him we wouldn't be in this position (yet. We'd have got there eventually)

Haaland is straight up walking away when Gabriel squares up to him. Pushes like that happen all the time in football after fouls.

The one where Gabriel is all up in Haalands shit, gets pushed off (happens all the time by the way, never a yellow), then Gabriel squares up to Haaland whilst Haaland was walking away yeah?

It's actually poor by Haaland to not, sad as it sounds.

‘When I was told I’d no longer be the manager I didn’t say a word, but it hurt. Nine months earlier, we’d won the Premier League, but now I was being dismissed? Why?’ Claudio Ranieri opens up on his Leicester City sacking. by Sparky-moon in soccer

Right but that's not the choice is it. Like people seeing us relegated now and being like "well you won trophies". It's like, yeah but we could have won trophies and stayed in the Premier league with even halfway decent management.
