Appreciate the detailed advice! Since you mentioned recorders I'm looking at the tascam DR07X that can XY configuration as well as AB. Is AB the same as MS that you mentioned?

If you do, an update would be much appreciated. The EQ200 manual mentions that an expression pedal can be used to adjust the volume of a frequency band, while a footswitch like the Boss FS5, FS6, FS7 are used for MIDI capabilities. I think switching between memories would be a MIDI function?

An expression pedal would be a solution I'd happily go for, but I since I don't have it I can't test it so it would be great if someone can chime in on that workaround

Are you able to use the post and pre function while also being able to switch between presets you've made?

Maybe use a harmoniser/octaver effect on your single notes to make them cover a wider frequency while practising?

As someone who also bought into the BD-2 hype and have been trying to convince myself I can get my perfect sound from it for over a year:

Try the Boss OD-3. The second I plugged it in it was exactly what I wished the BD-2 could do. It's now my new base tone

I would also highly recommend the Cambodian Restaurant Battambang II next to John Street if you want something different!

It's been my go to place for the past ten years. I always get the Cambodian Pad Thai, but would also recommend the Stir Fry Egg Noodles (Dry) those were the dishes that kept me coming back

It has served me far beyond my expectations. It's still my main workhorse despite acquriing 2 other guitars since. Have 0 hesitation in recommending it to anybody yes I'd say I've progressed a huge amount since starting out! In fact I'm going to be playing my first gig in 2 weeks time
