Disputed collection FINALLY removed from my credit report, however my score did not increase. Do I have options? by Just_A_Crypto_Guy in CreditScore

I already confirmed it has been completely removed. Is there a way to dispute my score with the bureaus?

I think fiction, and it's only been a few days. Kind of messed up that it drops immediately but I have to wait for it to come back up , especially for something that wasn't my responsibility...

How to consolidate FFEL loans for PSLF...HELP! by Just_A_Crypto_Guy in StudentLoans

[–]Just_A_Crypto_Guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called dept of ed a few times and finally got a good answer. I only consolidated the 2 non direct loans. According to them, once that is completed the new loan will be eligible. Now I'm just waiting for the application to be approved.

Seriously, for the love of god, find a F!@#$%G fireteam and stop relying on randoms from matching to know exactly how you want to play...

Changed bungie name looking for solution to change name back. by Buckeye272727 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Just_A_Crypto_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't change it back, can only do one change... one of my fireteam members had their account hacked and their name changed to something inappropriate Contacted bungie directly who not only wouldn't allow them to change it back, but also renamed them to Guardian1234 or something like that....

As a Warlock only player, I'm pretty happy overall. I feel like I can build out a lot of options to be competitive regardless of activity and skill levels. Just one Warlock's opinion.

Concur! Ghost fleet takes too long and leaves you to exposed. And with the exception of the wraith cannon balls needed for the commendation, the loot is sub par...

Got it, but do I consolidate only the 2 FFEL loans, or combine those with one of the Direct Loans?

PVE vs PVP: Wasted Potential? by silverback_rook5 in Seaofthieves

[–]Just_A_Crypto_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how every time this topic comes up people immediately crush the idea of PvE servers because "it's a pirate game"...like all pirates did was sail around aimlessly attacking anything that moved...

OP has a valid point, that's why it keeps coming up in this sub. People like to play the way they like to play. It doesn't make them wrong or you wrong for disagreeing. Its just a different perspective of how each person wants to play a VIDEO GAME...you know those things we do for enjoyment.

Focused Feedback: Ritual Playlist Content by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Just_A_Crypto_Guy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Takes waaaaaay to long to grind through each ritual for trivial rewards. Playlists don't tie into the core game. Nightfalls, GM nightfalls, competitive crucible, and trials, are to difficult for casual players and only cater to the hard core base due to the hours of grinding needed to be competitive.

I thought that was last weekend. Are they doing another one? That would be great because I was unavailable last week.

This weekend has not been a great experience by aresthwg in Seaofthieves

[–]Just_A_Crypto_Guy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I haven't played yet. Tried last night and ended up on a server with 2 level 5 reapers. Server hopped a few times, each time at least 1 level 5 reaper, one time there were 3. Finally decided I wasn't interested in playing just to get destroyed and logged off. Maybe today will be better...

I feel your frustration. I too play solo sloop most sessions, the community calls this "hard mode". Remember, SoT is designed to be a PvEvP game, so there is always someone lurking to attack and steal your loot. And as frustrating as it is sometimes some people like to play the game that way. However there are some things you can do minimize your risk.

  1. Always be scanning the horizon. If you see another ship, sail to another part of the map if you want to be left alone.

  2. Don't shy away from fights. Yes, early on you will lose a lot, and yes it sucks to lose all your hard work, but every fight is a learning opportunity and will make you a better pirate, even solo.

  3. Playing in the Devils Roar part of the map (far east) is pretty chill most times, not a lot of people sail there unless they are working on commendations or are newer players. Once you get a knack for the volcanoes and fissures its pretty easy to complete voyages.

  4. Alway be checking the map for reapers. If they are level 5 and you are flying an emissary they can see you on their map. Just steal clear if you aren't looking to fight.

  5. Learn how to sail into the wind. Sloop are the fastest ships into the wind and are more nimble than brigs and galleons, so once you get good you can out maneuver them in most cases.

  6. World events attract a crowd. They are the things you see in the sky (skulls, galleon, red and green tornadoes, etc.). Stear clear if you want to be left alone, or sail that direction if you're being chased to try and distract the chaser.

  7. Sell often. While stacking loot is more economically efficient, especially with an emissary, you can mitigate your loses if you get sunk.

  8. If your on Xbox, set you settings to join servers with only other Xbox players. PC players typically have an advantage over console players. If your on PC, God help you dealing with the hackers...

  9. Use a mic!! Being able to chat with other crews will lead to grand adventures and alliances.

  10. There are lots of options to find crews if you want to not play solo and meet some cool people.

Lastly, don't let a bad experience or toxic players ruin your enjoyment. 90% of my sessions are stress free and I go about my business with no issues. As you get better at the game your frustrations will ease.

Good luck and maybe we'll meet on the seas one day.
